When you burp, does sour come up also? (Heartburn related question)?

I had heartburn about 4 weeks backbone and took prilosec for 8 days. That stopped the heartburn, but after 2 weeks later, i started getting gas. And excessive amounts too, not just your commonplace 2-3 burps.

I started taking Yakult 3 days ago (pro-biotics similar to Danone's DanActiv), to help digestion of foods. It helps. I infer indigestion the problem.

I've lost 15 lbs so far by eating right (since heartburn) and staying away form alcohol (I'm 23) and plan on loosing another 20. But I'm still burping like crazy.

The other hours of darkness I may have over-eaten (or eaten more than usual) and the gas kept on going. I woke up near my throat burning just last hours of darkness. I guess back to elevating again. But this hasn't happened previously...probably only because i over-ate. No more of that..

When an elderly parent have dementia, do you verbs you may catch it too?

Answers:    Sounds like GERD gastroesophageal Reflux Disease when the LES lower esophageal sphincter open & allows stomach acid to come back up stomach, thru esophagus & into throat.
It can still come up while you are upright...it is worse when you lie down.

It is made worse by consumption fried, fatty food, caffeine, carbonated drinks, chocolate, drinking thru a straw, peppermint, garlic, onion, alcohol, nicotine.

Eat smaller more frequent meals, loosen belt, no alcohol, stop smoking, lose weight, elevate come first of bed 6-9 inches.

If it continues you need to go to a gastroenterologist & probably own an endoscopy to confirm diagnosis so it can be treated properly. It can otherwise cause severe esophageal changes & can even organize to cancer.

Hi...I enjoy a drug testing on monday and i smoked weed in the region of two weeks ago.?

It sounds like heart burn or indigestion, but if it happens profoundly go to your doctor because it could be acid reflux which save taken care of could be dangerous. Other erudite i would take a tums or something to calm the tart. Sitting up does help and waking up near the burning was probably because you over ate. yes, that would be heartburn.i have chronic heartburn...own taken every type of medication for it and still no relief...i have even have surgery on my esophagus for it and it seemed to work for a while but its starting to flare up again...

now, i am starting to burp profoundly again, and i do vomit in my mouth a little...i get up up in the middle of the night near a burning throat or an acidy taste in my mouth...

the best article you can do is elevate your bed...do not eat for 2 hours before bed time..try to stay away from spicey foods, foods red contained by color ( ketchup, tomato sauce, salsa, etc ), soda, coffee, chocolate, etc..losing weight is good for you and help reduce the pressure on your esophagus.

some days i could burp 1-2 times, other days, its non-stop, which entertains the pant off of my 6 year old...preserve doing what you are doing and if you are still concerned, go see your doctor or get a referral to see a gastroentrologist...
