Ok, well, What i have isnt really considered stuttering i guess. Its not similar to i repeat words over ll-iiii-kke thtthth-iiii-s, It when I just cant get it out. I start breathing heavily, and i look stupid. AND I HATE IT!! I go to the doctor, and she told me to slow down when i talk, and when i do, it still wont come out! I even tried speech therapy, and that didnt relief either. Its not really when i get nervy, its just hits me! I could be talking to my mom, and i will be doing obedient, and all of a sudden, my words wont come out. It feels similar to there is something there blocking the words from coming out! It is sometimes phisically hurting in my throat. Is this stutttering? Or is it something more serious? Do you think near is something wrong with my brain? People tell me i will grow out of it, but nearby is some guy at my church 10 years older than me, and he still has it. I dont want to live beside this my whole life! Its so embarassing! Especially at conservatory. Someone please help!

Answers:    This is a form of stuttering. What you are experiencing is called a "block." A speech psychotherapist who specializes in treating stuttering can teach you the technique to control the blocks. They call them pre-block, in-block or post-block corrections. You can also learn them and other technigues that will facilitate with the book Self Therapy for the Stutterer published by The Stuttering Foundation of America. Most regular doctors can't help beside stuttering, and some speech therapists have not be trained specifically in treating stuttering. You need to find one who is. Whats the difference within bifocal and varifocal lenses?

I would suggest maybe finding another doctor and getting a second feelings. I don't know what else to tell you besides that.

When I moved to SoCal when I was 8 i developed a suttering impediment. It come out of nowhere, but after a year or two ago it dissapeared, so I have no idea how it happen. Something in your brain is probably likely interfering beside your speech; but who knows if it's just chemical, your nerves and/or possible anxiety or something more serious resembling a mass or something without scanning it and finding out.
