How to catch someone to stop doing drugs?

Answers:    I'm not an expert and only just guessing here. I think that becoming aware of situations that trigger it would be a good start. From in that, maybe you can avoid the extreme ones and slowly desensitize yourself to other less stimulating ones.

Think more or less what's worked in the past. That's usually a adjectives tool. What helped you get to where on earth you can handled the amount of stimulation that you can now?

I own no idea if this idea is adjectives, but maybe you could get a small, unforced to fit in your pocket locket or rock or something that you could use to focus on when it happens. Ya know, something to center you resembling going into the bathroom but without having to literally walk into one. Idk. It's an idea.

Mostly what I think is that you will find the answers that work for you. Keep asking the question of yourself and others.

PS - the MP3 is good, I've heard of that. Another is gum - focus on chomping/cracking to drown out the rumble while looking at only one thing.

I am extremely self-hating... assist!?

HI I don't enjoy SID but I have problems with audible range things that I don't want to. Is it possible to have a music player with you and simply put the earplugs in your ear. I do this to stop the voices. The reality that you eat something crunchy which is also noisy make me think that since it is noisy and you are controling the crunching you may be aware of out of control of the noises around you. Maybe if you could hold an ipod with you and have it equipped just incase you need it. It could be similar to a safety net. You might also preserve like lifesavers that you can crunch on till you can reach a place where on earth you feel safe. I hope this help.
tim Maybe meditation would help.
Ask your doctor and if he/she agrees, join a meditation group, or swot up some basic techniques. Look for simple, non-religious types of meditation, vitally the kind that help you focus on your breathing and relax your body. In buddhist tradition this is call "shamata", but you don't have to study buddhism to learn it.
Later on, you will be experienced to apply the technique when you are in overloading situations.
And, of course, try to avoid these situations as much as possible!
Best of luck!

How to verbs out of a depression?

Well never have to answer this from a childs question - normally Im giving guidance to parents who have the kids.

Ive read a few books which helped me so much near my child who has the same problems - he is 8 though.

I read:

The out of sync child;
The explosive child

But Im not sure how much that can backing you.

Do you have an OT? My son loves getting theraputic rubs, he plays with bristle blocks (VERY STIMULATING AND HELPFUL) he even jump off high objects to get hold of the much needed JOLT to fix his sensory issues.

Def finding the theraputic "toys" or activities to keep you busy will truly comfort. Talk to you parents about getting you to see an OT - and getting her/his advice for problem times.

If you enjoy things that make you feel better (saying intake a crunch bar ...take it near you for back up)... learn to find ways to avoid situations which will most predictable upset your situation.

I dont know if any of this has helped but I no problem hope so.

Good luck and hang in at hand!

Cutting myself?

Sensory meltdown occurs because your brain is unable to filter out adjectives of the static ans noise that all of us concordat with on a daily argument. You said that some music, movies, crunchy food etc. help you out? Well this makes sense. These things offer you something to focus on that allows you to drown out the rest of the crazy world. So when you are feeling overwhelmed try and focus on one aspect of your senses. For example: you are in a crowded precinct and yuo hear alot of noises and see alot of people walking by; try and focus on with the sole purpose one noise (some music maybe) or look at only one baulk in the mall. This will back you drown out the other distractions around you. Some people find it helpfull to take an mp3 player next to them so they can put on their headphones and completely ignore the noise around them. Hope I was helpfull -Alan
