Should you workout when you are sick?

I have a common cold.

Why be my wife walking around near ideal posture and her chest stuck out after working out on the eliptical

Answers:    The short answer is no.

When you work out, what you're in actual fact doing is breaking down your body so it rebuilds (heals) itself again and stronger so it can combat the next flap of dumbbell assaults.
This is how our muscles become stronger and larger. If you worked out with the same resistence adjectives the time, you'll stop growing/strength will remain the same, and you'll be in a "maintenance" situation near your workouts.

When your body is sick, the immune system is in higher gear working to treat itself. Since working out places more stress on you, your body/immune system works harder so it's counterproductive to lift when you're sick.

It just take longer to get over a cold if you're stressing yourself out. Rest. Get over your cold, then step back to the gym with a justice.

Tightening my abs and chest?

If you are planing on working out at home and feel up to it, then why not. But, I wouldn't dance to the gym! Don't over do it though, make sure you drink more than you would do normally during your workouts, and drink well afterwards. when you are sick you should give your body a unpredictability to recover instead of putting it through the paces.
