Protein and bodybuilding?

Hey all, i am looking to increase my muscle mass. I'm 179-178 pounds, around 5'7" tall. i hold a fair amount of muscle mass already, but I'm looking to get for a while bigger. My muscle gain has plataued a bit, and I'm wondering if a protien bar/suplement wil help me? I am going to the store thursday, so if here are any brands you could recomend, that would be great!

Oh also, should i eat the protien bar formerly or after working out? Which option builds muscle? thanks!

Answers:    Make sure the railing has at least some fiber. Try to hang on to the sugar low, as well. No trans fat patently, and little to no saturated fat. I find bar that are 300-350 calories and at least 30g protein to be the best.

To be honest, I'm not too fond of protein bars since you could bring back full from a chicken breast which has plenty of good protein. Also look into whey protein shakes for postworkout.

If i'm 8.9 stone how much is that within pounds?


Protein bar are mostly sugar now.
Don't be fooled when reading the ingredients. Glycerol is a protein alchohol however once ingested it turns to sugar.

Drink a whey protein shake after your workout.

Also regarding your sticking point, double your sets sooner or later on that lagging body part.
