Answers: We have a population that consists mostly of aging baby boomers, who are retiring in massive droves. Nursing is not the only skilled occupation that is experiencing a shortage. It is a chronic problem in many skills all over the world.
With a shortage of nurses, this will mean a decrease in quality of hospital care for the patients. This could be harmful to a successful recovery of the patients..
I believe it's because there is a shortage in nursing teachers. I see a lot of people wanting to become nurses, however, from what I have found out, there is a waiting list almost everywhere. I think there is a shortage in teachers because they don't get paid as well.
