Why is it easier to stir up after 6 hours of sleep?

Does anyone else find it easier to wake up in the mornings after have only 6 ish hours sleep rather than when you enjoy 8 or 9 hours, why is this? - or is it just me being unexpected??

Answers:    Probably because people feel they enjoy to sleep '8 or 9 hours' because its been scientifically proved or something.

Sleeping a more reasonable amount of time resembling 6 hours should give you enough time to recuperate from the day before but not to an extent where on earth you can become over recover and don't feel alive or animated enough to do things for the rest of the day...

People contained by Spain have a 'siesta' (short sleep) and sleep less surrounded by the evening. This gives them a better chance to win through life being more forceful and promising. I thought this was a great idea when i go out there

A sleep deprived nation? I don't think so more similar to a forced to sleep nation
