Answers: You have failed to mention that plentiful marijuana users move on to stronger drugs such as cocaine and heroin. Herein lies the danger of dabble with drugs.

The answer to your interview is really quite simple...it has to do next to the Almighty Buck. Alcohol was amnestied from prohibition when the government found a route to make alot of money thru taxing & controlling it's production...unfortunately, herb (of which Cannibis is one) is a weed & easily self-grown...there is no passageway, to date, to be able to regulate & make money from it & will remain a prosecuted plant (the lone one on the planet) until that means is discovered.
It's the same source the FDA & AMA will not fully recognize herbal medicine (even tho it's thousands of years elder than chem meds & much more effective)...it can be self-administered & self-grown...the consumer profits, but not the industries...See?

it is because of prejudices as alcohol was seen as smaller number dangerous than cannabis when drug legislation was brought into effect. Smoking too be seen as not bad and for this reason kept legal but relatively recently its harmful effects were known and so culture think cannabis was made prohibited because of harmful effects whereas it was because of the legislators thinking it be worse than it was Marijuana is ILLEGAL that's why!
