For the record, I am 22, 6'0", and weigh 315 pounds. I have be overweight since I was 9 (140 pounds) and was diagnosed as obese at 15 (220 pounds).

Answers:    The excess cargo is putting a strain on your heart and lungs..
Your muscles are having to lift a great deal of weight to drag in a breath. Since you already know you are obese and it's cause you to have breathing difficulties, does that not motivate you somewhat to lose some weight?
I thought I could never stop smoking. Even after the doctor told me I have COPD from smoking, I still couldn't quit, I thought. Then, one night I couldn't breath and nearly died. When I got out of the hospital, I be able to quit smoking. The choice was simple. Stop and live ---- Don't stop and die.
My reward for quiting cigarettes is five or six years of natural life, but then, I'm seventy years old already. Your reward could be 70 or 80 years of much better feature of life. You are 22 years old. Don't rubbish it! You can lose it..
he pretty much nailed it on the head right at hand...

its harder for heavier people to do regular stuff because it strains the heart and lungs. there is more blood to circulate and more oxygen needed to fuel the body for someone similar to you vs. somebody like me who is almost to skinny..
That is because the excessive demand you are placing on the respiratory an circulatory systems within your body. there is fat un-needed large around the hear & lungs
&& bein outta shape prbly has somethin to do with it.
