Answers: Firstly why are you making yourself throw up? You could have scratched your throat as you said or you could have ruptured tiny vessels. What was a lot of blood? That should be described since "it was a lot" is a subjective comment. For some people repetitive vomiting can cause something called a mallory weiss tear which can be a medical emergency. I hope this isn't a pattern and you aren't making yourself throw up repetitively..
Why are you making yourself throw up? If this is a habit with you then of course your going to have blood. It could be coming from anywhere considering those circumstances.
You are playing with fire and developing habits like that lead to nothing but addiction,hospitalization and death.
If you made yourself throw up because it would make your stomach feel better for some reason and it isn't a common behaviour, then you may need to have some test done.
Since you said its alot, and you felt the need to throw up then you may want to go get yourself check at the ER to be sure that there isn't anything going on. You could have a bleeding ulcer, on various other stomach issues..
