Why are earplugs usually orange or yellow?

Answers:    So that they are easy to keep up with, and so that we can easily see when others are wearing them..
The ones you are speaking of are memory foam types. They are that color because of the material they are made of. They could of course paint over it, but it would be a different texture and be very uncomfortable. There are types of earplugs that are different colors, like blue and black for example. Types that musicians and hunters use are different and specialized. this is just a guess but could be valid... ear wax is usually around those colors so maybe it looks less gross when you take them out, lol.
So you can see them if they fall out So they don't get stuck in your ears... ..
So they're easier to spot.
