When u cough up blood what do it mean?
Answers: if you are an older person who smokes, coughing up blood is a bad sign & could well be cancer. if you are young & don't smoke, it is probably bronchitis, an infection in the lungs. are you sure the blood is coming from the lungs? if you are not running a fever, not short of breath, young, don't smoke & are otherwise healthy, you can wait a couple of days & it will probably clear up by itself..
it depends on if you were coughing a lot already.
if you cough too much you might burst a blood vessel in your throat, which isn't really a problem. if could also maybe be internal bleeding, though, or a lung issue. if you keep coughing up blood, go see a doctor about it as soon as possible. You better get ready for a tuberculosis test, and be sure your not coughing on or around anyone until you find out. If your positive its very contagious! On the lighter side it could be a serious respiratory infection. Good luck (P.S. you can die from T.B. get checked out!) its fixable, if caught in time..
