It is a a type of migraine headache where on earth you see and "aura" around the eye. The best thing to do is take some tylenol or some piece and go into a dark room and try to relax and sleep for a while, it should stir away..
That might be what is referred to as an aura. These are common in migraine headache. Sometimes you will get the aura without certainly having head torment. Many times the spot will recede into your peripheral vision and eventually disappear. The aura can be accompany by a tingling sensation in your extremities (fingers/toes) too. I have have the same thing come to pass to me several times. If it keeps up and concerns you, you might want to see a neurologist or even your gp to get a CAT scan or MRI.
Of course, it could a short time ago be a fluke, too..
