What do you do when you build a tolerance to a medication? How do you overcome it?

I am an adult who takes Dexedrine for ADHD. I used to rob Concerta and Adderall but I built tolerances to both. Now I have to take more and more Dexedrine for it to be decisive. How can I lessen the tolerance effect? I don't know what medicine I can try next.

Answers:    Well our bodies modify. What worked before might not work as good. I have to change my meds because of a very serious counterattack. It was not an initial reaction but it be a toxic reaction. I was on the medication for several years in the past this happen to me. Study the medications and look at the side effects. I would suggest not to depend on a short time ago the medication but take an holistic approach.

Mind.. Body ...Spirit Give your body what it needs and it will work better for you..
your body is already immune to the pills or maybe the medicine you are taking are have some drug-to-drug interactions. Maybe the drug is not that effective as before because of its interaction to the other drugs you are taking.
Or you own been taking it everytime and the bacterias are already immune to the medicine, bacterias are really apt in adaptation. Talk to the doctor who prescribes your ADD meds and see if he/she can prescribe a different medication or a difficult dose if need be. Don't change your meds minus your doctor's permission.

ADD meds can be tricky. I've switched on and off between Ritalin and Concerta for former times year or so for my own ADD..
stop taking it for awhile. you will build up tolerances to any drug you take.
