What can I do about a hoarse voice (I need to sing live tomorrow)?

Answers:    gargle with salt water, or gargle with honey and lemon in hot water. Repeat every couple of hours right up until you sing, (honey and lemon works best).
Try taking a large dose of some anti-inflammatory. One that comes to mind is vitamin C, about 10,000mg spread over 24 hours, 5,000 to start and then 1,000mg per hour.

One of the over the counter headache remedies is an anti-inflammatory, ask your pharmacist which one is the best and be sure not to O.D. on the pills. I know too much aspirin can make your stomach bleed.

One of the herbal teas might also be an anti-inflammatory..
Halls cough drops are good for hoarseness, Also I use a product from the health food store call Gypsy Cold Care. It is like a tea bag. You just put it in a cup of hot water and let it steam and drink. I try to add lemon, honey, and a pinch of cayenne pepper to mine which is also good for the throat.

Zinc lozenges and taking lots of vitamin A and C can also help..
This has been dealt with extensively several times in the past few months on YA. You should find plenty of info and specific suggestions in the resolved questions. I'm surprised you didn't notice them when you typed in your own question.

Check them out and see if they don't give you lots of info..
i stack of my friends went through the same thing last
and it was worse because they had to perform infront of hundreds + plus record two days later
stack up on the honey lemon tea, soothers and other cough lollies and dont talk for as much as possible.
the not talking part helps the most, carry around a pen and paper lol

good luck.

Don't talk.
Sleep.
Drink water.
Take throaties/butter menthols etc.

I'm not saying this will get you better for tomorrow, but it's the obvious approach. Hope you get your voice back and your gig is a success!.
don't talk in anything above a wisper and drink nothing with salt. drink alittle warm water and don't eat anyting spicy. also if you snore don't sleep on your back because it will make your snoreing worse which will further damage your vocal cords. Do a Hydrogen Peroxide 3% and water gargle, salt and water gargle, then eat an apple. Yes, the apple cuts mucus in the throught. It really works!! Good Luck!.
When i had a hoarse voice my doctor told me to try to rest my voice as much as possible. Gargle with some warm salt water and drink plenty of fluids. Hope this helps and good luck with your singing! As a singer myself, dont talk drink warm milk and honey. Also suck on some lozengers will help lubricate ur throat.
You might be screwed! Drink some hot tea and gargle with warm salt water every couple of hours. honey can soften it up but u will need to take it also just b4 u sing.
