I'm not asking for myself. I used Zyban four years ago to stop smoking. The doctor suggested my husband use Wellbutrin instead of Zyban. I have it that the two are the same entry, so why tell him Wellbutrin is better? Also, he only have to take one tablet per day for the subsequent three months. When I was on Zyban I had to steal two tablets a day for three months. Will it still work on such a low dosage (it's the same per tablet as the Zyban)? Since my sister's very soon on Zyban to stop smoking, she also has to take two tablets a sunshine, we're thinking either the pharmacist or the doctor made a mistake with the writing.

Answers:    He probably suggested wellbutrin for insurance purposes. It usually don't cover the zyban. As far as the 2 being the same drug they are, but are they like peas in a pod dose(milligram). I too toke Zyban to quit smoking and took 1 tablet initially for several days then started the 2 a day. If the Wellbutrin is indistinguishable milligram as the wellbutrin, I would suggest you call the Dr. and double check, the dose, and explain you took 2 tablets , and it worked for you.
