Told by ENT it is simply dry ears. I have very little wax. He give me cortisone cream which is applied with a cotton swab. It does help but wishes to be applied about once a week or they do begin to itch again. Could be allergies also. To the character who suggested it was cancer, I think I would be deceased by now, as I've had this problem for several many years.

Answers:    Are you getting enough Omega 3 fatty acids within your diet? How about Vitamin E and A? Try supplementing with these items..it may alleviate the dryness. I know someone that started taking fish grease for itchy ears and skin in general and it worked..

Itching contained by your ears can also be cause be wax moving through your ear canal. There are little hair in your ear canal which comfort the wax move and they can also cause the itching sensation.
