Phenylalanine sensitivity?

For several years now, I have be having an issue with food, soda, gum, etc. that warn it contains phenylalanine. Even if I don't see the warning, I can tell shortly after consuming that it be in there. Its tricky to explain how it makes me feel - save for like a pecullar death warm over. Just one stick of gum will have big effect on me. Obvously I'm not a phenylketonuric, but could I be experiencing a sensitivity or allergy to it?!

Answers:    It could be a sensitivity to nutrasweet itself, because a lot of foods that hold phenylalanine don't have those labels. Nutrasweet give a lot of people headache. Maybe look up what foods have phenylalanine but not nutrasweet and see if they cause alike feeling. My bet is it's nutrasweet, it's not nearly as harmless as general public would like to think..
Phenylalanine is one of the 8 essential amino acids that make up complete protein that you get in adjectives animal protein so complete protein is fine but consuming phenylalanine in isolation is dangerous if you consume seriously of it as large doses of phenylalanine could cause an overdose and this can do irreversible brain devastate.

Perhaps you should steer clear of food, soda, gum, etc that contains a phenylalanine warning. To overdose on phenylalanine you would probably need to pilfer an excess of a phenylalanine supplement.
