Migraine headache?
Answers: Perhaps a magnesium supplement might give support to..
MAXALT, but your doc has to give you a perscription. Works similar to a miracle!! Asprin taken with something caffinated. You can try excedrin, but it is basically expensive local anaesthetic mixed with caffine.
If regular over-the-counter medicines don't work for your migraines, consequently talk to your doctor about prescription medication for migraines. Usually, a medication within the triptan family works the best for treatment of a migraine attack--it helps near both the pain & the nausea. Sometimes, however you have to try more than one back you find the one that works for you. Whereas one might work for me, it might not work for you, and vice-versa.
Also, if you get frequent migraines (more than a few a month), I would recommend asking your doctor about conceivably being on a preventative medicine--something you would take everyday to prevent getting migraines. That is because you DON'T want to be treating a headache more than twice a week or you run the risk of getting what is call 'rebound' headaches or 'medication overuse headaches' where you become dependent on the drug and would actually get headache every day. That is not fun! There are many option for preventative medicines--but they require a prescription. So see a doctor if you think you need one..
tylenol, ibprofen, or any other entity you would use for a normal headache
