Medical marijuana?

i was wondering if my friend could be prescribed medical marijuana...shes 16 and she suffers from migraines all the time...she have to stay home from school alot because of them...she used to take migraine pills but she become immune to them to the point where they would do nothing...next she had to start taking pain killer like vicodin/ percocet ect...which is horrible to take because when you use that for chronic migraines it will cause a tolerance and addiction...so i was wondering if there be any way she could be prescribed medical marijuana..i heard it works wonders for migraines

Answers:    Until marijuana is re-scheduled, no doctor can in truth "prescribe" it. There are 12 states that will tolerate her being in possession of small amounts for medical reason, though. Check to see if you are in one of those more forgiving states.

There is some research that shows that LSD, not marijuana, is a surprisingly effective treatment for harsh migraine headaches. Read this:

If you are talking almost some one smoking marijuana to alleviate the effects of migraines then the answer is no. There is a very slight possibility that you can find a doctor that will prescribe true medical marijuana "marinol". But the likelihood are greatly against this. no
