Even more, your explanation is approach oversimplified from the articles you posted---your statements: "completely unnecessary", "only when thirsty", and "any drink" are ALL untrue.
All of those articles speak it MAY be too much, but don't state for certain someway. In fact, the SciAm and Dartmouth articles both cite ONE study by ONE scientist, which is never a accurate way of proving your point. And Snopes, economically, we all love Snopes, but it's not exactly authoritative, is it?
The model "drink only when you're thirsty" is merely as much an overstatement---the articles say listen to your thirst, but just if you're already healthy and not taking medication or drugs. Which rules out a lot of the population over the age of 18.
Finally, even your own Dartmouth article explicitly say that your kidneys canNOT process all drinks like peas in a pod. For example, check out the second to last paragraph say beer is "probably" OK, in "moderation".

I disagree with you. Ask anyone who have suffered from kidney stones. I drink about 80 oz of hose per day, and I quality healthier than I've ever feel before. Other ancestors I know who drink that much water touch better also. Our bodies are made of 78% water. What make you think you don't call for to keep hydrated?

I've done this so many times! I be younger then obviously...
For me, I would get really tired after just about 20 hours. When I forced myself to stay awake, I would start to be more alert after 22-24 hours. This "2nd wind" lasts a few to several hours but my body still feel very tired and my thinking be delayed.
After being awake around 24 hours, I usually notice that I take hot and cold a lot. I suggest the fatigue makes it more difficult for the body to regulate heat. My thinking and responses were delayed. My body feel a bit strange, like I be more floating than walking. Memory definitely go out the window and so does flawless judgment!
I would regularly have a more difficult time conversating and would sometimes forget what I be saying partially way through my sentence. It's straightforward to get grumpy or irritable because you start to not quality very polite. This is much worse if you've had closely of caffeine.
My skin became sort of dim, especially in the obverse. Dark circles appear under the eyes. My eyes recurrently felt sort of buggy because I be working harder to keep them unstop. I would blink more too because your eyes start to dry out easily. Headaches be more common when I be awake for 24 hours or more.

I lay in bed trying to sleep and an hour pass then 2 hours afterwards 3 cuz I CANT fall sleep and it drives me crazy. I used to enjoy insomnia and stayed awake 5 days in a row! Well taking pills isn't really a right idea cuz you may become dependent on it. Coming from someone who works overnight shift and get off of work at 7am (when the sun is up) I can empathizewith you. Heres a few sugestions you can do.
1) Dont purloin any caffeine a couple of hours before you run to bed.- The caffeine you take will see in and reject your bodys conventional sleep pattern
2) Buy an eyecover.-yes it sounds stupid but trust me if you sleep contained by the daytime it will kepe the light away from your eyes.
3) Try to put yourself surrounded by an environment that has little or no hum.- Even small noises can save you awake and/or annoy you so you cant go fund to sleep
4) Sleep in a different room.- Sometimes your body get used to the room your in and the environment a renovation doesnt hurt ...for me it actually help
5) If at ANYTIME you are starting to fall asleep GO SLEEP!! Once you try to keep hold of your body awake your baody says "hey it must be time to get up up!"
6) Read a book read something that you dont want to and dont really pay attention to the words. Just consent to your eyes scan the pages close to your reading. IF YOUR EYES START FADING KEEP READING UNTILL YOU FALL ASLEEP
7) Dont play video games or watch TV or movies if your trying to trickle asleep, you will watch a show and procure involved and by the time the shows over you wanna watch the subsequent one.
