Swollen lymph node?
I have have a a virus or possible bacterial infection for the past two weeks. It started next to sore throat, swollen lymph node (right side neck only) stuffy antenna, fever, headache, and tiredness. After something like 3-4 days the fever go away as did the headache and the sore throat. It started to flip flop between runny nose and stuffy antenna. On the 7th day i go to the Dr. I started having bleak nausea and some bowel issues. My white blood count was a touch high (11.9) and the lymph node on the right side be still swollen so the dr gave me Doxicyclin anti biotic.I took this for three days and go for a re check because i was still nauseated and lymoh node still swollen. They switched me to Amoxycillin. I hold now be on it for 5 days and my right lymph node is STILL the same size. No hallucination, no more upper respitory symptoms. Just nausea that is worse surrounded by the AM and the swollen lymph node.
How long does it take for your lymph node to progress down?
Should i be more concerned?

As long as it is ONE single and painful node, things are soothing..
It is not uncommon to hold a trublesome lymph node that takes its time to step away..

I hold had those problems within the past. It can bring quite a while for the lymph node to dance down, especially if you are always touching it to check on it. Just touching it repeatedly can make it sore and motivation it to stay swolen.
you should be concerned. swollen lymph nodes are a sign of infection. however if it doesnt subside with antibiotics, something is particularly wrong. switch doctors. a second opinion wont hurt.
