I think it's to do near the amount of dust in the atmosphere that rises in warmth. So when you're in sunlight, the dust is going to step up your nose, making you sneeze.

One of the Cranial nerves which have branches to the nose also have one to the eye. Bright sunlight stimulates the nerve to the eye, but the brain think it is the branch from the nose, and think the nose is mortal irritated and thus causes a sneeze so as to stop the antenna being irritated.
