Health Question
Why Meditate?
I have be thinking for awhile as to why meditate at all. My friends give me a few reasons at the back why to meditate such as health and social benefits. However, I still hold my doubts if it is really worth the trouble to get into meditation. Has anyone tried this within the past? Thanks.Answers:
It works, but it's newly like exercise, you gotta push yourself to do it.
really meditate doesnt give you any gain at adjectives. Meditating really only take stress off by relaxing. It can be a slight form benefit and probably not a social benefit.
Mindful meditation brings a calm - peace and chord to our hectic lives. Just concentrate on breathing in a comfortable spot within your home.. don't think roughly speaking anything else but your breathing. it will relax you.
One can meditate by themselves or one can meditate with the backing of a trusted mentor. First the solo mediation: Meditation does help relax the mind by training the mind to be self-possessed. Many of us have deeply busy minds that jumps from one thought to another - this type of thinking and thought pattern are considered to be undisciplined. In some yogas the average thinking pattern is considered to be close to a monkey jumping around. In the serene and soft space of meditation one learns to be detached from the everyday thinking and the hope becomes to view how one is thinking. This is like self watching self and can be taken to a massively mystical and spiritual level. It take a lot of work to accomplish these elevated meditation states. This is where a trusted mentor or guru can help out. I find that the real benefit is when we can filch the tranquility found in meditation into our everyday busy lives. For example while we gain caught up surrounded by a demanding situation a part of us learn to be calm. This state is compared to when one become like the stillness blue sky but below the sky the clouds are thundering. Yoga, tai chi, and chanting are also practices that can create this relaxing effect one finds in mediation. Hope this help. Kumar...
Meditation is simply learning to live contained by the moment, when nothing distracts you and when you are not tied to olden times or anxious about the adjectives. In meditation you become peacefully aware of your real self. The more you use it, the more aware you become. When you cram to live life for respectively moment, to enjoy and appreciate existence to the fullest at that moment, you suddenly become impervious to the myraid of doubts and fears that you've lived with adjectives your life.
While in attendance are many folks that come across to believe their particular mantra have "magical power", it really is the mindfulness that matters. The mantra is merely one of the vehicles you can use to achieve there.
I developed a simple nonsectarian practice, but my surroundings is in Buddhism - specifically Jodo Shinshu (aka Shin) Buddhism, Nichiren Buddhism, and the nonsectarian teachings of the Bright Dawn Institute (aka Kubose Dharma Legacy).
Here is the simple, on the other hand potent, meditation technique that I use with some recommended resources as ably. Specific posture does not matter. If you are self-conscious sitting on the floor, you can sit on a chair beside feet flat on the floor.
Since I enjoy medical issues, I do a simple form of secular mindfulness meditation to relieve stress and anxiety. This helps to slim down high blood pressure and the frequency of headache. It is a practice recommended by my primary licensed physician and is not encumbered by any superstitious nonsense.
I hold actually studied a wide open variety of religions and path. Being more musically inclined, I was initially attracted to the practices of Jodo Shinshu (aka Shin Buddhism) and Nichiren Buddhism - beside the combination of chanting a rhythmic phrase (Nembutsu or Odaimoku) and/or sutra recitation to a ocular object (a scroll of Amida or a Gohonzon). This is a more influential form of meditation as compared to the silent form (see below for that). So I decided to create a nonsectarian alternative surrounded by that vein. One practice that I find encouraging in the capillary of the Way of Oneness (the realization of interdependence) is to chant “Be One, Be Peace” within a position of gassho (palms together in front of chest near fingers pointing upward - a traditional gesture of respect) to an intention such as a Dharma Wheel or a drawing of enso (a circle - you can paint one on a while sheet of paper next to a Chinese style brush - traditionally the circle is not fully enclosed - simply do a Google search on enso to see examples) as used contained by Zen. Five minutes of this every morning before work does wonders for my blood pressure and stress plane.
You are more than welcome to use the croon if you think you may find it possibly adjectives.
I use two forms: “Be One. Be Peace.” for those who prefer a four syllable “mantra” like “Namandabu.” Or “Be One. Be Love. Be Peace.” for those who prefer the tread of a six syllable “mantra” like “Nam(u) Myo-ho Ren-Ge Kyo” or “Na-Mu A-Mi-da Butsu.” People who close to (or are drawn) to chant are attracted to the rhythm.
For me, the purpose of any practice is to fire up self-reflection, internalizing this awareness , and wonder/gratitude/awareness of the interdependent forces of the Universe (Dharmakaya - in Shin this is symbolized as Amida Buddha which allows practitioners to perceive these forces as “compassionate” and “caring” thus allowing us to relate to them easier, or as the Gohonzon surrounded by Nichiren Buddhism which is a calligraphic representation of the “Ceremony in the Air” from the Lotus Sutra which is also a representation of the interdependent forces of the Universe).
There are a couple of simple technique for silent meditation as well. You do not enjoy to sit on the floor. You can sit with erect subsidise on a chair. Many general public say try for 15 minutes twice a morning. I say start next to a simpler goal - 5 minutes twice per morning. The benefits include stress management and relaxation benefits which assist the body, increased mindfulness and focus, and increased energy. The mindfulness can be a benefit to your spiritual duration, but meditation also has "non-spiritual" benefits. Here are two flowing techniques:
Breathing meditation - 1) Check posture. 2) Close your eyes and relax. 3) Focus on your breath entering and departure your body. 4) Count breaths mentally one to four. Repeat. 5) Don't fight a wandering mind, but sensibly direct it back to charge. 6) Sit for a minute afterwards.
"Mantra" technique (choose a personal "calm" word or phrase that you will repeat in your meditation - it can be from your religion or something as simple as "one" or "calm" – I use the nonsectarian “Be One. Be Peace” or “Be One. Be Love. Be Peace.”) - 1) and 2) as above contained by the Breathing meditation. 3) Listen to your breathing and let it relax you beside each breath. 4) Once you are relaxed, mentally "hear" your "calm" word or phrase surrounded by your mind. Let it repeat in your mind. 5) Don't punch-up a wandering mind, but calmly direct it hindmost to task. 6) Sit for a minute afterwards.
That is adjectives there is to these terrifically simple but beneficial meditation techniques. Many citizens think that something "mystical" should arise during meditation. Most often "nothing" happen and "nothing" should be expected.
Oh yes, and it didn't cost me anything to learn nor be there any "initiations" involved.
Some polite resources on "secular" meditation are "The Calm Technique" by Paul Wilson as well as "The Relaxation Response" by Herbert Benson. If you stipulation more formal "assistance" or "training" then I would look into Natural Stress Relief which be founded by former Transcendental Meditation instructors upset at the rising cost and ongoing superstition associated with TM. They charge $47 for their training compared near the $2,500 that TM would charge you.

Whenever im sitting within a sure position 4 a while why does my legs and foot travel numb??
im getting my hair done and my foot and legs are numb why??Answers:
You have this entry called a circulatory system, which keep the oxygenated blood flowing to all parts of your body and vertebrae again. When something disrupts or interrupts that system, your extremeties ( like foot, legs, hands ) can turn numb. If you move or shake them around a bit, the circulation comes back to average.
Sometimes you can have pressure on a resolve that can cause a similar sensation of numbness - that can be cause by poor posture or a really convoluted sitting position.
It could be a circulation problem though I doubt it. Sounds more like you're sitting on a backbone or you have a pinched spinal resolve. When you move around, it should get better.
Hi it's Dianne,
I don't devise you have anything to verbs about. I am 46 and enjoy had this come about many times within my life. It should shift away when you move around. If you keep getting it you may own a pinched nerve.if it keep up see the doctor. I doubt anything serious.

Puberty
What is puberty?
Puberty is the time in enthusiasm when a person become sexually mature. It is a physical translate that usually happens between ages 10 and 14 for girls and ages 12 and 16 for boys. Some African American girls start puberty previously than white girls, making their age range for puberty 9 to 14.
Puberty starts when a quantity of the brain called the hypothalmus begin releasing a hormone called gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). GnRH afterwards signals the pituitary gland to release two more hormones - luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) – to start sexual development.
A study funded within part by NICHD have identified a gene that appears to be the crucial signal for the beginning of puberty. Without a functioning copy of the gene, set as GPR54, humans appear unable to enter puberty typically.
What are the signs of puberty?
Puberty affects boys and girls differently.
In females:
The first sign of puberty is usually breast development.
Other signs are the growth of quill in the pubic nouns and armpits, and acne.
Menstruation (or a period) usually happens ending.
In males:

Then hair grows contained by the pubic area and armpits.
Muscles grow, the voice deepen, and acne and facial hair develop as puberty continues.
Both boys and girls usually hold a growth spurt (a rapid increase within height) that lasts for nearly 2 or 3 years along with the signs nominated above. This brings them closer to their adult loftiness, which they reach after puberty.
Does everyone be in motion through puberty the same instrument?
Puberty can have different pattern, so everyone may not go through puberty within the same course. For example:
Some children may begin puberty nearer than normal, a condition call precocious puberty. If signs of puberty occur impulsive (before age 7 or 8 for girls and before age 9 for boys), parents and caregivers should speech to their child’s health keeping provider to see if treatment is needed.
Other children may have delayed puberty, description the process begins subsequent than normal. Sometimes here is a reason for puberty starting unpaid; for example, many young at heart girls who are gymnasts start puberty later than those who are not gymnasts. But within many cases, here is no known point for the delay.
If nouns is later than middle-of-the-road, parents and caregivers should talk to a condition care provider, who can product sure there is not a medical condition cause the delay. But most kids near delayed puberty need no treatment and commence puberty on their own body’s time.
Puberty refers to the process of physical changes by which a child's body become an adult body skilled of reproduction. Puberty is initiated by hormone signals from the brain to the gonads (the ovaries and testes). In response, the gonads produce a variety of hormones that stimulate the growth, function, or transformation of brain, bones, muscle, skin, breasts, and reproductive organs. Growth accelerate in the first partly of puberty and reaches completion by the wrapping up. Before puberty, body differences between boys and girls are almost entirely restricted to the genitalia. During puberty major differences of size, shape, composition, and function develop surrounded by many body structures and systems. The most discernible of these are referred to as secondary sex characteristics.
In a strict sense, the permanent status puberty (and this article) refers to the bodily changes of sexual maturation a bit than the psychosocial and cultural aspects of adolescent nouns. Adolescence is the period of psychological and social transition between childhood and old age. Adolescence largely overlaps the period of puberty but its boundaries are smaller amount precisely defined and it refers as much to the psychosocial and cultural characteristics of development during the teen years as to the physical change of puberty.

Do you believe marijuana to enjoy addictive properties?
Please provide a basis as to your beliefs.Answers:
No. There have been no solid facts to prove marijuana has addictive chemicals. Like alcohol, it is the individual i.e. prone to addictive behavior to cope with stress, depression, or an assortment of problems. Marijuana like alcohol appears to be "addictive", but video games can be addictive as very well. Anything that distacts a person from veracity can be considered addictive.
What you are specificly asking: does marijuana have chemicals that create a physical addiction? The answer is no. Heroin in truth alters chemicals in your brain that when the user does not catch "high" the body actually go through withdrawl symptoms (pain, fatigue, etc).
That is the most important difference between tough drugs like Heroin and apathetic drugs like marijuana. A character can simply stop using (w/ no physical or sever psychological) side-effects, if he or she so chooses. Where as in heroin, meth, crack.. etc the user developes a strong physical and psychological dependency.
That is why rehabilitation for alcoholism and marijuana use is so unsucessful. Both are simply customs of a certain sense of self type and a certain degree of psychological mechanisms that are triggered by their "addiction".
NO. Basis?..... 43 years continual use!
In my evaluation, No. I used as a young developed & found no problem just stopping & never looking vertebrae
duh
if sum1 told u that it does not get u addicted and u belived it u r a *****
This have no basis surrounded by reality as a user who quit short any difficulty and no regrets,I can say beside certainty.
its suppose to and ive done it but im not addicted or anything
so no i dont regard its addicting
i could stop at any time
No. 40 years of use, quitting off and on beside no ill effects.
I love marijuana as much as anyone, but I would emphatically have to voice it can be physically as well as psychologically addictive, at lowest possible in my personal experience. I've smoked heavily for almost ten years (and occasionally for years before that), multiple times every daytime, and it's gone up to 5-10+ times a day surrounded by the past couple of years I've be in conservatory. Now, before I started conservatory, I quit for nine days while traveling, and that was pretty much fine. But just this minute I had to quit for a term of weeks to get a career (i.e., pass a drug test), and it's be really miserable.
I've had sudden flashes of intensity and lots of irritability, crazy mood swings, hot and cold flashes, terrible insomnia, loss of appetite (although luckily little nausea or stomach cramps approaching some people get), and pretty bleak cravings... some other weird effects that I'm not thinking of presently, I'm sure. I also found that when I lapsed during this time (which I did some toward the beginning), it crept up on me and I found myself smoking more and more often than I have planned. I've recently realize that I'm truly an addict and that I've be compulsive about it, and immediately I'm trying to stay (mostly) quit after finally getting a job. So again, I'm not unwilling it at all (my boyfriend still smokes a lot), but I've in recent times found that it can be addictive for really heavy users. There are lots of other personal stories online if you do a Google hunt -- I spent a while reading them during the hardest couple of weeks.
NO...I was a regular user (15 years) but immediately that i"ve shifted to a new country (2 years ago for work) and cant find any here, I be surprised to not have deduction symptoms or anything like that
No! But Meth, Heroin, Sex, spending money and the document can go on and on. Marijuana does end in you to get the M & M's {marijuana munchies} but instinctively I have found thru research it is not addictive.
no,i know someone who have cancer, and was going through kemo, and it be the only point that helped her,she somked it for 2 years, and when she be put in remission, she stoped
