the doc think im overly sensitive to the anticholinergenic effect of my medication olanzapine and venlafaxine. Answers: Basically they are duplicate, they both complete medical conservatory but a DO focuses on osteopathy during training and an MD does not. So your friend isn't relatively right. The "DO" is earn after successfully ratification boards and a state license to practice must still be obtain. DOs must complete the 4 years of med academy same as any doctor and complete superfluous training after med arts school. Don't believe that they own smaller amount instruction or training. It's not a shortcut.
DOs can hold a subspecialty surrounded by Family Medicine or Internal Medicine but cannot enjoy the "MD" after their label. And as expected they can diagnose and prescribe! They're doctors!
