It's because they enjoy to be unique name. i.e. Xopenex (brand name) is Levelbuterol Hydrochloride (generic name). Would you mistake that for something else? Probably not.
There is actually a drug naming committee for the Food and Drug Administration. All they do is sit around adjectives day thinking-up name for drugs. They must be a bunch of nerds with interesting imagination to come up with some of the drugs I've hear of. LOL!
Sometimes there are drugs next to similar names. With adjectives the strange drug names out here, it's hard to maintain track of the unusual ones that sound resembling something completely different. That can turn into medication errors that potentially kill patients. In spite of adjectives the effort and cryptic name, it still doesn't work all the time.

Why are my ankles puffy?

Wow you enjoy the same problem I hold, it,s only one ankle, my moved out one, it only swells after anyone on my feet adjectives day. I go to the doctor for it, cause I thought possibly it was hose down retention, turns out its from over use, it,s a muscle issue, kinda like carpel tunnel, with the sole purpose in the ankle, Its unusual, and it does,nt hurt, its just repugnant.
