My son is have a Throat Culture. What's the best road, to hold him still ?
He's 4 years old.Having a throat swab / culture tomorrow.
Because he'e little - he won't agree to a doctor near him.
How do i hold him still ? Can i sit him on my nouns ?

ok, this is what i did to my 2year old daughter she didnt approaching it and cried, she doesnt like the doc any and no she wasnt traumatized! i sat her on my nouns facing the doc i put on arm around the front of her holdin her arms down and the other hand be on her forehead holding her head firmly to my chest.. this is a fitting method to make a child hold still, dont verbs bout him cryin, they get over it contained by a minute or so..... i hope this helps!! i also have my doc start givin my daughter her rewards instead of the nurses, she is startin to warm up to him... perchance your doc can try this cuz it looks as if its gonna work for me GOOD LUCK :-)

Yes, you can hold him on your lap. I'd also suggest that you verbalize to your son today about exactly what will develop at the doctor's office and brand it clear that it will not hurt and it will be over very like lightning. Describe exactly what the doctor will do for the culture. You might also consider telling your son that if he behave well during the exam, he will draw from some kind of reward (a toy, a treat, etc.). When the time comes, try to stay at ease, showing your son there is nil to be afraid of. Don't grab him or catch angry with him.
Doctors enjoy all experienced kids who freshly don't want to go along beside an exam like this, and your doctor will be capable of manage if your son resists. Overall, I wouldn't stress too much roughly it. But do try to prepare your son for what is coming, and try "bribing" him for good behavior next to a reward of some kind!

Then - take a doll, or a stuffed animal near you to the doctor office. Have the doctor check the doll/animal's throat first.... discussion about everything that he is doing. If your son is still not convinced - hold the doctor check YOUR throat (even if not doing the swap - look down near the depresser etc).
Then have your son sit on your nouns - 2 options....any on your lap facing out towards the doctor and you can put your arms any at his side or around his middle (DONT squeeze- yet).
OR
on your lap facing you so that he is looking over your shoulder (and the doctor can be trailing you and still have access to his mouth) again - your arms any at his side or around his middle (dont squeeze).
Why dont squeeze? The more yu try to hold him tight, the more it sends the message that this is going to hurt.
Wait until you see how still he will hold.... if he gets alittle wiggly later you can apply more pressure as the doctor is ready to do his article.
If you can get it on the first try, in the past he knows what is coming but after you hold shown him its not scary great. If the doc have to make a second attempt at the swab, it may be harder to hold him. I plan - seriously who like a q-tip shoved down their throat.
But - if you are steady and act similar to it is no big deal and wont hurt, hopefully your son will purely be calm until it is adjectives over and done with befoer he even know it was starting.
We have talked to my son and warn him that his throat would hurt alittle when he woke up from the tonsilectomy. We had told him not to try to parley (we have the benefit that he also know sign language). He didnt even cry, he woke up, remembered what we said and waited until I get into the room to sign/ask for some juice. It be all a situation of preparation.

The silent game sounds cool, um you could try to distract him, possibly the doctor could use a lolly pop to make him stick his tongue out. Maybe he is of late afraid of the doctor outfit, maybe you could capture a nurse wearing regular clothes to do it. Good luck
