8 year-old son wet his bed almost everynight. Help?

No drinks before bed. None! And after wake him up every two to three hours to move about to the loo - even if he moans. It won't take too long hopefully. Lots of praise when he have a dry night and he will soon obtain the hang! Leave a small dark light on for him and even a potty by the side of the bed! He may consider the crossing to the loo too scary or bothersome contained by his sleepiness!
Has he always done this from a tot or have it just started or resummed after a long time gone? Consider any other external influences...bullying, mishandle etc.

This is inherent so i was told...My son used to drizzling his bed up until he was 11 and myself (embarrassed) 12!!.... I used to dream that i be on the loo and had woken up, solitary when i'd 'been' did i wake and realise i hadn't.... I come up with it's something he will grow out of...i used to use a plastic sheet underneath his sheets...you could also try waking him at intervals through out the hours of darkness to take him to the loo, don't impart him anything to drink before he go to bed.....I think the doctor can immediately perscribe pills to help next to this problem too, so you could try this route.

Instead try waking your son previously you go to bed yourself. later wake him again within the early hours. rouse him 10 mins later every hours of daylight to train his bladder into holding it in. Also don't discipline him as if he is on edge about his problem it can formulate him worse. If all else fail, try buying him some dry nite pants.

If we know he have drank too much soda or juice during the time we will get him up to budge to the bathroom usually before we shift to bed but, in common we just avoid soda(birthday party are usually an exception) and only allow liquid in the first partially of the day. If this is something that have just not long started happening it could be due to stress.

I personally don't know anyone who's on Focalin that I know of, but I can testify that I know a couple of culture who have be helped so much by medication for ADHD. My mom is an educationalist who often works next to children with this disorder, and she say that the test score of children on medication often incline, sometimes by grade level, when the children are properly medicated, because it allows them to focus and let their true practice and ability shine through. Give the medication a couple or three weeks to fully see in and I ponder you'll be amazed at how much better it is for everyone. If you don't like the medication after that amount of time, chat to the doctor again and share your concerns with the doctor.
