Yes I do. I know my doctors my mom worked with them and become friends so of course I trust them.

For something as serious as cancer or any serious or mysterious infection, I would never go to a local, small-town doctor or hospital ... I would stir to the nearest big city to find a specialist and ALWAYS get a second feelings.
I do not mean to demean small-town doctors, but they are not other trained or equipped to deal near trickier conditions, and you can also lose a lot of precious time while they "investigate"; whereas a specialist can commonly hone in on a condition right away.
I other ask lots of questions and try to rob an active segment in my treatment ... I usually know my body and my anguish better than somebody else.
Hell no! our Dr.'s dont even listen to your problem they just prescribe throbbing killers to everyone so they will keep hold of coming back to the doc for more prescriptions..Plus one of them give a shot to a sick 3yr and it killed her(girls daughter i go to school with)..

I hold worked in a medical university for 20 years, mostly with first and second year MD students. They are absolutely very intelligent and motivated, frozen working people, a small group, fussily chosen by the school from a immense field of applicants. (At one time I aspired to to medical conservatory myself, but that was not to be).
Of course they are merely human and they do make mistakes and, similar to anyone, they may even become disillusioned, addicted or worse. From what I enjoy seen of the medical system though, it is complicated to imagine a better group of associates, better trained to look after my health.
So my answer is that I trust my doctor and answer their question accurately so that they can give me the best treatment possible, and yes I lift my wife and son to them and trust them to look after my parents, too. I also try to understand what they make clear to me, ask questions and assume for myself as much as possible, and work to develop my own common sense and be capable of look after myself. After all, no event how good the doctor, an ounce of prevention is still worth a pound of cure.
