My husband is epileptic and I own a few question?
My husband was diagnosed as an epileptic when he be 12, he has focal siezures, petite mal, and impressive mal. We've been together for 4 yrs presently and he has not have a grand mal nonetheless, and stress seems to trigger it. He is really stressed out right in a minute (I won't get into it) and is pretty depressed. I'm worried that a big spasm will come up soon. He drives alot for his work, and I am constantly worries he might wreck. He's wrecked before due to a paroxysm. We don't have insurance and he is the type that hate doctors, so any advice in a minute besides saying he should see a Dr. would be appreciated. We also enjoy a six month old girl and he is rather worried she might have siezures. Her Dr. tell us that is unlikely, but what do you focus? Sorry to disappoint you, but your husband must see a doctor. the main cause of epilepsy; or to be more medically correct, seizures, are still unknown, however medication to control epilepsy is proven. However, the medication should be updated on a regular font, and this can only be determined by a doctor, epically one you specializes contained by neurological conditions. If your husband is not on medication, he should not be driving. stress is a well know trigger for seizure, again medication is a great help for this, but again, it must be the right medication for the right condition which can be artificial by by the seizure medication.
