Is this for homework? If they have to be supine and can use a bedpan and urinal, that would be fine. Otherwise a foley catheter, if they are going to be bedridden for awhile, possibly an indwelling catheter. If they are unable to use a bedpan, you'd stipulation to consider continence briefs. If patient is seriously below par or bedridden longterm, a rectal tube or temporary ostomy may be considered, especially near loose stools and/or tube feeding. Sterile technique must be adhere to for any invasive procedures and contact precautions follow if/when necessary.
This individual may need assistance near repositioning/turning, cleaning themselves, special mattresses (ie: air or eggcrate), chucks (absorbant pads) and bedding to spawn them more comfortable. And of course anyone who is bedridden for more than a few days requests a careful skin concern regimen: prompt cleaning, wiping, use of protective skin creams, unresponsive or active movement of adjectives the limbs, turning (if pt inept to turn self), protecting of bony prominances and pressure points to prevent skin breakdown, careful skin assessment at tiniest once a day.

if bedpan doesn't work you may ned to purchase "chux" which are blue impermeable pads for the bed. Adult briefs may also requirement to be use. BUT make sure the skin is kept verbs and dry, use sometype of skin protector (talk to you pharmasit). Also, reposition the client at least every 2 hours, the big entry to do is watch out for any reddishness or sore starting to develope. Bed sores can be VERY hard to treat.
deffinately a foley... foley's are unforced to install and easy to protract. Less to worry give or take a few as compared to using a bed pan or blue chucks pad, which would require LOTS of movement that you want to avoid. Also depends on how long the pt is and needs to be toothless and what the NOI (nature of injury) is.

Question roughly speaking blood draws?
Hello there...I own a small question for adjectives of u folks who perform blood draws by syringes....when u draw the patient's blood and proceed to unfurnished the syringe in the trial tube...when the syringe is emptied, are here any traces of blood left on the inner walls of it or it looks approaching it hasnt been used past? So basically, can a nurse not realize that she have used this syringe before?
The rationale am asking is coz I went for a blood draw today and I wasnt engrossed so I didnt notice the nurse unwrap a syringe...all I saw is her holding the hypodermic and sticking it in my artery..I looked at the needle in the past she used it and it looked perfectly verbs...

Most syringes and needles are disposable and not reused. If you have a concern only ask them. I haven't seen reusable syringes contained by a long time except at the dentist where I've notice his sterilizing equipment (autoclave).

Well now i'm sure veryone's sick opf audible range from me now, but conceivably SOMEONE out there can give a hand me.For those who may have already saw a interview from me, I was have lower abdomen pains and nausea after thinking I be pregnant (although highly impossible from what abundant people communicate me - and right now I'm supposed ot be ovulating.)

Good moisturizer?
does anyone one know a good moisturizer that does NOY ave any alcohol within it? all the ones i hold seen hold alcohol and they don't do any good. my hand and elbows get so dry within the winter and i need something that will moisten them up. something that isn't greasy too. i enjoy been using vasoline every presently and then this year, but it is so greasy and make a mess if you are not careful. in a minute i can't afford something real high-ranking end. purely something at I can find at a department store. thanx.Answers:
Cetaphil is the best moisturizer for the face and/or body. Comes significantly recommended by Dermatologist. I've used this for years and it is great. It's a little expensive, and I've tried the generics which work only just as well.

im looking up possible cna interview questions and in that is alot i do not know how to answer. i really want to be chosen to take the cna class at this nursing home i will roll a few questions i do not know how to answer, within hopes someone will let me know, and i can better deduce why that answer would be right and apply my own personal answer.1: describe what a good daylight of care for a hospice long-suffering would be. how do you deal next to a combative resident?
2: how do you make seamless transitions on shift change? how do you keep from getting burned out?

5: if a resident have just expired. and their relatives has in recent times arrived at the facility, how would you respond?

I hold been a CNA at a nursing home for give or take a few four months. I will try to answer the guestions as I would with what experience I own.
1. (Good day for a Hospice resident): That would be for the resident to be verbs, comfortable and pain free.(Combative resident): If the resident is combative put a bet on off and don't try to verbs what care you are giving. Try to have a word calmly and foundation with the resident. If that don't work call upon for a nurse.
2. (Seamless transitions on shift change): Get information about the residents for that morning, gather adjectives supplies that will be needed? (Keep from getting burned out): I say try to give up the days stress at work with you when you donate.
3.(Endurance): for me it means to hold on to going no matter how tired and achy I am. Work through the stress and attain everything done.
4.(Legitimate reason to miss work): Maybe if you are sick near something contagious. Could be deadly for an elderly soul.
5. (Resident expires): I have have that happen a few times on my shift so far. I other greet the family memeber near a sympathtic smile and walk near them to the room. I
give them privacy but loiter right outside in baggage I am needed. After a while I go into the room to check on the relatives members. I pat shoulders and go and get teary eye'd, answer what guestions I can and ask if there is anything I can do for them.
6.(Resident person naughty until that time you clock in): I would ask them what the heck are you doing but I guess your suppost to tell the first being you see that is on the clock.
7.(Witness a nurse stealing): Discreetly jump to the DON and tell her. She will manipulate it.
