anything beside ginger is good for motion sickness. ginger ale is well brought-up for kids especially, raw grated ginger is the most decisive. Pickled "sushi" ginger is pretty good.

If you are driving then it shouldn't be as discouraging, just keep hold of the window unscrew instead of using the vents as the vent can really make it worse. If you're a passenger try getting a handheld video spectator sport system or mini DVD player, these can really help keep hold of you distracted and plus you won't be looking out the window which with the sole purpose makes it worse as you probably know.
I've hear of a number of "natural" approaches - including chewing fresh ginger, or sucking on a peppermint or lemon drop. However, I've never tried any of those methods, so I couldn't utter whether they are reliable or not.
The best option I've found is Bonine - an over-the-counter alternative to Dramamine. One difference is Bonine works directly on the inner ear, where on earth motion sickness begins. (In reality, it's the OTC version of prescription medication used for dizziness and inner ear problems.) Another nice aspect is you give somebody a lift one pill for 24 hours. The only side effect I ever have from Bonine is an increase to my appetite..quite a pleasant swing from the alternative - vomiting in the subsidise seat of the vehicle or by the side of the road.
Kroger's grocery stores and many drug stores fetch this brand. It may even be available at Target's or Wal-Mart. Give it a try - I don't think you'll be disappointed.

the family own had tons different games consoles over the years and the best one i have found is the Nintendo Wii, you will find a span of games suitable for young and aged.
You can also go online if you own wireless broadband, and down load games from the Wii shop.
They are bringing out unknown games all the time, the also own a couple of games out which have a great deal of mini games on them, which is ideal for the younger ones, they will not find so bored playing the console. I hope this helps, and you find the right console for them.

I would suggest any a Nintendo Wii or a playstation2. I have both of these and my sisters (5-18 years of age) love to play on both, also my parents play on them both to so the age collection is no problem.
it isnt so much the consoles as the games you get for them. any console is fine, ps2, gamecude, wii, xbox, but merely be watchful of the games you can buy for them! some transport a rating certificate immediately, if you are unsure then ask a sale rep at your local game store, they are brilliant at self able to recommend customers, it is their job afterall. upright luck!
xbox is wonderful, my children have one. They gain to play games on it and they get to view dvd's on it too. But they have to do their homework first and own a play outside too.
Great for rainy days and cold days if they want to be indoors.
Can find dance mat to go onto it so they remain moving too.
i would go for the PS2, for the most part because they are reliable,you can get them cheap, in that are loads of games out there for solitary a few pounds and the Xbox has be having some trouble breaking down.....
