Smoking is disgusting. I wish that it be gone. In a perfect world, smoking would be barred everywhere and I wouldn't have to agreement with that disgusting stench. As much as I hate them I expect it would be better if the government would basically tax the hell out of those pack of cancer sticks, to the point where most middle class and lower income family have to choose between ingestion and shelter or buy cancer sticks. If the addiction is so strong that they end up on the street? Too doomed to failure! Their dumb asses will just starve or shift to jail I guess. I see that as one a better and more plausible solution than prohibiting them out right. This way, they're still available and legally recognized to smoke, it's just that not everyone will know how to afford them and will be made to chose between continuing their habit and live surrounded by debt on the street, or grow some intestinal fortitude and fight the "cravings". I get the message that there might be instances where on earth clerks give away or significently discount the price of those things so that "friends' or favored customers can win them. Also, people who are friends next to or who are related to those with lots of money could still obtain them, but this would still be an easier bill to pass than freshly outlawing them. Besides that, where would it stop. I approaching beer and har liquor. What if some victims group starts a gound swell of support to outlaw that too. So, no. As much as I hate cancer sticks and option tthat people would stop I wouldn't want what I guess you could send for "liver killing drinks" outlawed nor would it do any well-mannered to add cigarettes to the account of illegal crap that our management already does a poor job of policing.
