My 12 year old son have to go to the dr. to be retest on his adhd. and they done a urine tryout and blood work. they called me and told me that he have a very large level of protein contained by his urine and that I was to come by and pick up another urine cup and collect some urine from him frist entry in the morning earlier he gets out of bed and bring it backbone to them as soon as possible. So they could do some test on it. Well elevated globulin and albumin are NOT are a physical response to "ADHD" any more than chiropractors are doctors (Burn!)
I digress. I'm assuming he's on some sort of medication, I can't find anything that shows that it would increase total serum protein. It depends on how high its elevated, and I'd be cautious of looking to much into it... it could be severe or it could be nothing, I'd fairly not explain it, and let the pcp recheck after a week or so.
My guess is its a fluke, but your pcp is basically being undamaging.
In children, protein in the urine is usually zilch. But, of course, your doctor wishes to be sure, and he's absolutely doing the right entity to check further.

(I'm wise saying they but I'm also a patient of depression too, by the way) I meditate while alot of people are competent to ignore the depression in the world and seize along with their lives, those prone to depression cannot, and ponder over why there is so much dejection.
