I have be experiencing swelling in my right leg and my right foot. (The nouns below my knee) I have be exeriencing this for over 4 months and I need second opinion. I have see my Doctor and he states that I have edema and that it would probably stay near me. He reccommended elevation and support hose. The elevation helps alot (swelling go down) but the support hose do not work at all. After walking around after elevation, my leg, foot and ankle swell pay for up within 3 to 4minutes. I am 33, do not drink or smoke, play globe and workout 3 times a week. I have have Cat Scans, MRI's, Doppler tests and adjectives have come put money on negative for DVT and blood clots. It could be due to a ruptured Baker's Cyst. That happen to me. One day my right leg suddenly started swelling below the knees all the passageway down. Over the period of an hour or so it be almost doubled in size so I go to the ER because I knew something be wrong. They did an ultrasound and diagnosed it. The swelling lasted for several months and my leg be very aching during that time. Eventually it went away but it be very encouraging to know what the problem was.

You can try something approaching Pepto. I usually try a carbonated drink such as gingerale. I guess getting the gas out by burping helps some.

The difference between specialties is in residency, where on earth you have a medical point and are a doctor but still have to revise and train under an attending physician.
