Health Question
I pulled my hamstring what could i do to assistance it?
I pulled it running cross country the other day and my doctor told me to bring 2-3 weeks off but i want to turn back our and run sooner. What should i do?Answers:
From an aging, former Strong Safety (who have had more than his share of pulled hamstrings):
Unless you own some very expensive machines to stimulate the muscle tissue repairing itself, you stipulation to follow your doctor's advice. One means of access to shorten the healing process ever so slightly is to ensure that you get hold of plenty of rest, eat a fair diet, and that you keep the leg elevated high than your heart as much as possible until any swelling goes away. I've also found that for adjectives sorts of muscle tears, alternating between hot and cold packs seem to stimulate regeneration.
After the injury heal, take great keeping to stretch your legs fully before running again. Hamstring 'pulls' (actually a shred of the muscle tissue) can easily reoccur if you try to run again too soon, or if you don't stretch properly since you run. Remember that getting well so you can give a hand your cross country team is more substantial than running before your body is in place.
Good luck to you in your speedy repossession.
Wait for it to heal!!
Listen to your doc. If you miss the cardio, try swimming or something near your arms. You could tear it if you grasp back on it too soon.
rest, rest, rest!! listen to the doctor. if u stir back to soon you are at risk of reinjury! you could do some leg stretches to strethen your hamstring

I know you are going to hate this answer, but you inevitability to let it alleviate. If the leg does not completely heal, this muscle especially, it will become a repeated injury that will plague you for a whole year. You can try and speed the taking back process, but don't push it until you feel totally heal. You can help it along by resting and regularly icing the muscle. In the meantime, hold in shape by doing something on a stationary bike (as long as it doesn't strain the muscle).

But I am no doctor so you should probably get a doctor to check it out.

Because of the strength privacy laws (HIPAA) not a soul without the proper access to the hospital databanks will know how to see whether or not you were admit. Generally the only individuals outside of the actual hospital that can access this information are other doctors office, insurance companies, etc- and that's only if the admit individual is one of their paitents and the hospital has an online database.

If a pregnant woman is on meth or some genus of drug that'll hurt the babe next what can be done?
Answers:
very rearly are things black and white but contained by this case i discern the answer is simple. Rapid intervention will be a definitive factor in the positive out come of this situation. while the use continues both mother and child will be placed beneath tremendous physical stress.
Any complication during the gestation period may result contained by dire conciquences with little hope for any party.
remeber its what we do that make us who we are and what we dont do that we often regret.
i hope some one will step up and serve save somthing that cant let go itself
what does your doctor say do you see a doctor. what can be done relies solely on where on earth you live in the world and the pregnant woman. i live contained by australia and there isnt really much can be done except put her into rehab. apt luck
Nothing can be done, the woman should stop taking the drug or terminate the pregnancy. An unborn little one has not a soul to stand up for it's rights & if they did, a drug using mother would not be allowed to carry & wound a baby for 9 months within her womb.
I am not to sure how to go nearly telling someone, but the local police department or CPS could agree to you know. I am pretty sure that it is neglect. It really wants to be reported.
Braces problem exceptionally stinging HELP!?
i got my braces on 3 days ago & i hold a problem. the inside of my cheek keeps hooking onto the hooks on my braces & it rips my skin & I hold a huge scar on the inside. its amazingly painful. should i see my orthodontist or is this run of the mill? how should i deal beside it ?thanks so much. god bless
Answers:
it happen to everyone. you'll calllus up soon. either suck it up or put some wax on it.
Generally when you receive braces they give you wax purely for that problem. I'd ask your dentist for wax. Your other option may be to use cotton.
Get some braces wax and put it on the parts that are catching. It help while your mouth toughens up. If it is really bad, after call your orthodontist tomorrow and they will fix it for you.
walk to the orthodontist and ask for the wax stuff to put on the wire so it won't hurt your cheek anymore.
Ask your orthodontist for wax.
The dentist should've given you wax... You put it over any sharp spots on your braces and when you cheek pass over it, it won't catch... If you use the wax and still enjoy discomfort I would see the dentist again and have him adjust your hooks... Good luck
hey girl.
i've have this same problem.
if the wire is sticking out from the end bracket on your farthest tooth fund..then they should know how to trim the wire shorter so it won't take caught on your cheeck.
however. if you mean the little hook things used for rubberbands on your brackets..later unforuntally there is nil you can do to ease the cramp on your cheeck. you COULD put wax on the hook..but your body would never get used to it and you would call for to keep wax on it 24/7.
but, after almost a week or so of not using any wax..your mouth will form a callase (sp?) and it wont hurt. :]
sorry..braces are VERY painful. hope you perceive better!! =)
No you should definatley go see a doctor. I enjoy had my braces 2years and that have never happened to me!!
i have that too, pot some wax (white stringy things) on the gum and ill perceive better
it's normal, espically for the inauguration. make sure at hand are no long wires. they have wax to put over your braces to prevent this. eventually when you enjoy eaten and gotten use to your braces, it doesn't hurt anymore
it is usual to have that come about when i had braces it did like thing and even after i have the wires changed each stop by it did it, try gargling and rinsing your mouth out near warm saline water ( of late warm marine and several teaspoonfuls of salt) it always made my mouth have a feeling better and helps restore to health the sore, be sure to mix it well and don't drink it rinse and next spit it out! idon't use the water at the awfully bottom of the glassif you have too much saline and not enough dampen it burns like fire. This works for me it may work for you too in recent times a suggestion, Hope it feels better soon! Wax help too, but if that doesn't work i would defiently go vertebrae to the orthordontist

I dont know anything more or less your condition, but you mention is has something to do next to your nerves and I know theres a drug that works very okay for nerve aching and its not a narcotic, its called Lyrica. But I deliberate if it would have worked, they would hold probably tried it on you.

But a year ago my doctor told me one of the best cures for agony is a positive attitude. It took me a long time to learn that lesson. There are three things I can suggest to you.probaly not the answers you are looking for. The first is you can go and get hold of counciling, not fun, but it works better then you reflect on. Second you can go bother your docter until he/she can't stand it anymore and they will bring you what you need. Three is my personal partiality and works the best for me which is mind over matter. hold yoursself going because in this world sometimes it's adjectives you can do. Keep busy, and pretend your life is great. Eventually you will see how great your time truly is and you will make your mind forget roughly the pain. It's how I seize through my days and maybe it will give a hand you get through yours. Also, if you ruminate it's all bull I can vouch for my father who should be ddead right presently, but he was determind to servive and very soon he's doing great. If you give up your mind will contribute up on you. Best of luck and hope you feel better soon.

Opting to own a nonspecific anesethetic for removing a breast abcess?
My sister has a breast abcess and wants to have it removed. She have chronic needle/procedure phobias. She went to see a doctor (her usual one be not there) who said removing it was usually done lower than a local anaesthetic but was not sure as the procedure be carried out at the hospital and not the local surgery. She is not getting it treated and is in more torment and its getting worse. Can she opt to have it removed underneath a general anesethetic on the nhs?Answers:
I'm sure its possible, ask nhs direct they will recommend. Tell her the longer she leaves it the more pain and problems next to infections will lead to greatly more than one injection not to mention scaring, perfect luck with that :o)
she should describe of her fears and there is zilch to putting her to sleep for the procedure
if she waits she can go and get a really bad infection. probably she can be given a tranquilizer to help her relax or even crash down asleep. the Dr. should understand her fears. she requests to have a serious verbalize with her Dr as time is running out.. the best of luck to your sister
Yes, she requirements to explain her fear of syringe procedures, that she just can't tolerate a local, and adamantly demur anything less than standard anesthesia.
I am guessing you mean "serious" to some extent than "chronic" - chronic just technique you have have something "for a (long) time"
If you DO mean chronic within the proper sense, then if her phobia is not too extreme later she may find just something close to entenox (nitrous oxide) plus a local anaesttheitc might work well for her.
If however she is determined to hold a general, afterwards usually the pre-med would still be given by needle though *may* be given in words.
The REAL problem with a broad apart from the increased risk of death, is that depression stable a few weeks or months is quite a adjectives side effect - and as such, is not usually advised unless a standard is REALLY needed - rather than someone who is worried roughly a needle.
If she continues as she is, she will stop up having to be given antibiotics by IV anyway - so to avoid a plunger in her for a few second, she will have one within her arm for a couple of days on a drip.
Might be worth asking your GP if he knows of any alternative meds which could be given to "chill her out enough" to own the local - as for the procedure part, she can be made to be moderately "away with the fairies" and not be surrounded by the least bothered by what is going on.
I really would presage you/her against having a common - it makes a routine procedure beside almost zero risk to one near "low risk" - and fro mhaving almost zero accidental of triggering depression to "moderate chance" of triggering depression.
General is NOT a good notion usually just because someone doesn't resembling needles.
As I say, if things deteriorate, she will closing stages up having needles within her for blood tests and venflons (long-term needles) stuffed within her anyway to get the antibiotics inside.
Sorry, but she might simply need to be a big girl around this and get on near it. Not wishing to be unpleasant, but if she is avoiding a procedure because she dislikes them and needles, it IS going to be more unpleasant the longer she puts it bad :(

I live in the US where on earth we do not have NHS. The best that I can make clear to you is that while she may not have nonspecific anesthesia where you are so drugged they enjoy to put a tube down your throat to breathe for you and all the risks that dance along with it, she may be a claimant for "conscious sedation".
This is where she have an IV (she would with standard too) and they give you a combo of meds that sober you and also one that causes amnesia, she won't remember a piece. The procedure will still be done in a track as to be unpainful and much safer than general anesthesia. You would be amazed at the surgeries they do this means of access, cataracts, carpal tunnel, knees arthroscopes. Our Dr's. here do their cardiac caths under conscious sedation. Also GI stuff close to endoscopy's where they put a tube down your throat to look at your stomach or a colonist to look inside your colon. They also do lung biopsy's this bearing with putting a tube into your lungs to try to get a biopsy with out first performance you up. As you can see, there are alot of things done this course
I'm sure your sister could have her breast abscess done this track and she will feel much better after since she doesn't hold to recover from nonspecific anesthesia.
I hope this helps.
I have an abscess in the vanished breast (a complication from nursing in my case) and it be removed under a broad. So it can be done, and if she explains her situation I bet they will. (It will cost a good deal more).
But, adjectives things considered, the local is safer. Generals have various more opportunities for errors and problems (and they're far more serious when they occur). For one, beneath a general you repeatedly have to own a tube inserted into your trachea so they can keep you breathing (as you will stop on your own due to the paralytic portion of the cocktail you are given). I enjoy had this done several times and the most I be ever aware of was the pinching on the collar and a sore throat.
They have to use needles for a common, too. They need to insert an IV, and the drugs are typically pushed through that. No escaping needles surrounded by that regard.
I suppose the local would be best, with someone to be in attendance to hold her hand and preserve her mind off what they are doing. They aspirated mine surrounded by the office next to a needle lacking any kind of analgesic and I feel almost nothing. Cutting it out is a different story, conspicuously, but if you are looking at cost or invasiveness then the local is so much better. Mine be a general I regard because it was massive (containing over 90 cc of fluid), so adjectives into that with a local would enjoy been difficult to pay no attention to! But if it's small and near the surface I dream up the local should be fine.
But obviously it is her body and she wants to do what will work best for her so if a local is totally out of the question I'm sure they can attain a doctor to do it under a nonspecific (it will be at the hospital).
As for the NHS portion- I don't know how that works so not sure if they will or won't. If she opts for nonspecific then she should telephone call to make sure. (it's a condition coverage of some sort, yes?)
hi she should ask her doc to refer her to the hopital i would have thought the doc would own done that anyway.thats what usually happens.she should travel back to her doc and insist on this.small lumps on the breasts are taken seriously.the procedure is done at the hosp.are they sure its an abcess.have she had a scan done.your not hugely clear on what she has have done.these things are done very in a hurry.tell her to subsidise to the doc and find out exactly what is going to happen thats what they are getting rewarded for.dont let her continue go straight away.
Yes she can. She wishes to tell them
She requests to speak to the surgeon (on the NHS time is the big factor) with a GA (general anaesthetic) the procedure will steal longer and require a stay in hospital (depending on the time of the procedure) it will also stipulation an anaesthetist an Operating department Practitioner (ODP) and recovery. the risks next to a LA (local anaesthetic) are less than beside a GA and either style she will require a needle any an injection into the Brest or a cannula in the hand/ arm, however at hand are topical La's this is a cream that can be applied to the area prior to the injection, my suggestion would be to speak to the surgeon and request a topical application before the injection, if she is still worried she could ask for a pre-med this is a BENZODIAZAPINE and will relax her midazolam can be given vocally however if she is having a pre-med they will probably want a cannula contained by situ again request a topical anaesthetic before insertion. what ever she decide she needs to sort it out promptly. in short she can request but it is up to the surgeon to opt. for this operation it is unlikely she will need to be paralysed so s ETT (tube)would not be used, lower than a GA she would probably breath spontaneously she would just be comatose and pain free.
She can yes but I go wrong to see the difference. She will need a hypodermic in her mitt if she has a broad and a needle around the breast nouns if she has a local. She will greatly likely own antibiotics after the general within the same plunger in her mitt and if she has a local it will be more needles as they'll own to insert an extra one in her mitt (venflon).
