What rights do I enjoy as a lenient to sign a blank HIPAA form?
Was given a blank form to fill out and don't know who what or why this information is needed. What are my rightsAnswers:
You hold a right to informed consent. Signing a blank authorization means that informed consent is not given. A blank authorization process that someone could put in anything they want within the blank lines and release and or receive any information they want. Do yourself a favor and go fund in to the bureau and revoke that particular authorization contained by writing. Then tell them that if they want anything from you surrounded by the future you constraint to be informed and will not sign any further authorizations that are blank.
As far as what another poster has said dont believe that any doctors department gives the "hipaa act" to a forgiving when they request it. No doctors office does that.
