I'm going to take a guess and speak 2-3 months. I stretched pretty much everyday over the summer last year, and by the run out I could do the splits. Which no way could I enjoy done before. So if you start presently, by September you should be able to for sure!
Depends on how flexible you already are and I also believe it depends on your size.
I would say 1-2 months if you are already flexible and an average size human being.
4-6 months if you are not flexible whatsoever, with stretching and focused practice on this project alone.
