You might lose your drinking buddies. I know I did when I quit drinking. But I found new friends, and the best friend I found be myself.
Instead of being a loser who could individual relate to people through the bottom of a cup, I became a soul who could be on my own and deal next to the hard thoughts that come into my head. And I found I could BE a obedient friend. Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
Be the person you can be ... contribute yourself a chance. By doing so, you'll be providing a apposite example, too ... who knows, surrounded by six months you may find one of your ex-drinking buddies is now your hot, sober friend.
