Is it fruitless to cross your legs?

i have sit with my legs crossed probably starting when i be around seven now i am fourty. i cross them every time i sit down, eventually after a long priod of crossing my top leg get numb. i have hear that crossing your legs can cause artery problems, back problems, and hip problems, i dont own any at all, but is this true that it is fruitless? do you cross your legs also? and are you aware it might be bad?

Yes, lucklessly it IS bad to cross your legs, despite how comfy it may be. (I confess, I cross too!) It is impossible for circulation and can cause or exacerbate masses problems. If you MUST cross, just save changing positions regularly, stay hydrated, don't smoke, exercise often, and don't stnad within one spot for too long.
I believe the proper way for us to cross our legs is at the ankles=this path,we don't have so frequent problems
ive heard that you can bring vericose(sp?) veins and the other problems could be because possibly yur spine isnt exactly aligned when you cross your legs adn after awhile it could cause a problem
i twig, i love crossing my legs too, it seems more comfortable, but yes it does rationale problems, it lowers circulation and is the numb / sleepy / tingling feeling you seize,

so to keep the circulation going, adjust positions more often, the pooled problems basically comes from denial of excercise like walking, if you are starting to surface problems / aches and pains, try getting up give or take a few every hour and walk around for a few minutes, to procure limbered up,

Maybe this is why I hold back problems! Because I enjoy always crossed my legs.
No because you are constantly shifting even when at rest - strange but true so here is blood flow. If your ability to move is constrained for a long time of year (jammed in a leg lock for a 10 hour flight for example) it can prevent blood flow through your legs and accordingly stop sufficient oxygenation of the tissues - this can lead to plaques of unmoving tissue that move through the veins and can block them (such as open vein thrombosis).

Maybe population who cross their legs constantly may also show poor/limited general posture which could explain the other symptoms you mention.

Why do my ribs hurt after sleeping?

Ever since I got my tonsils out, I've notice that whenever I sleep, my ribs hurt me so bad when I wake up up that I can barely move. I usually sleep on my side, and I hold a pillow made specifically for people who sleep that route, and my bed is a pillowtop fullsized mattress and very comfortable. I dunno why my ribs hurt so doomed to failure when I wake up. I can't sleep on my put money on because my neck starts to hurt, and I can't sleep on my stomach because my chest is amazingly large and it's not comfortable to sleep that path. Could it possibly be because now that I own my tonsils out, I don't toss and turn as much in bed? I'm newly confused.

It seems similar to every week I have a cold. I can't filch it anymore. I asked my dr why he thinks I'm other sick and he told me that it may just be my allergies, give me some nasal inhalor and that's it! but I don't have allergies!?!?!?

I be always sick and I didn't contemplate I had allergies until my doctor insisted I travel for allergy testing. It turns out I'm allergic to a bunch of stuff and in a minute that I'm getting allergy treatment I'm not sick any more! You really should see an allergist.
I am sorry to hear this. From my experience I am 25 yrs old beside seizures and strokes which formed 2 years ago this month. If it isn't an expand and shut case approaching the flu or a sore throat they really don't want to take the time to cure it. I know here are some really good doctors out here, but I have however to find one. They are straying away from antibiotics for colds and such because they found that it actually lowers your immune system making it complicated for your body to fight sour viruses and such. I would strongly recommend a on a daily basis multi-vitamin and definently take within more vitamin C. They even have vitamin C drops at alot of your local stores. Of course another path is lots of orange liquid. I don't know if anyone else has recommended this, but you can jump buy a box of Benadryl, or Claritin D. I know you don't have allergies, but if you try to bring this product for about 3 days and discern much better there is a providence that you have an allergy to one or more things. Allergies cover a BROAD field of things. Some are evident, while others are helpful of hidden. Take effort and good luck. I hope I be able to facilitate a bit. And I don't know why you say you don't own allergies. How do you know? Have you been tested? first, i own the same problem at arts school, i dont take an prescription but i've found that not eating alot of sweets and drinking caffeine (caffeine solely kills your stomach and make you brake out) can help next to your focus. maybe step look up food that help focus or the brain on the network. I just plan out more time to do home work and stuff because I know I will achieve distracted.
second, at least you enjoy a boyfriend. If you think something is wrong only talk to him individually and ask him about it. He will comprehend and your relationship will get stronger.
third, if your friend be really your "friend" she wouldnt try to steal your boyfriend. confront her about it and right to be heard if you keep doing it, you might enjoy to end the friendship.

I went on a holiday a week ago,
the plane land a couple of nights ago and as it be landing my ears deafened and popped (Which was usual for me), but they also stung a WHOLE LOT... resembling i could barely whip it.. they were stinging REALLY REALLY discouraging...

after a long sleep they were fine, but after the next daylight when i woke up, my left ear feel as though it's blocked, and when i tilt my head it feel as though there's fluid in here... but it's constantly stinging.
