I quit smoking April of finishing year, and haven't found a total answer for that. The nicorette gum helps me greatly.
One of the best things you could do is actually as silly as it sounds suck on a lolly-pop. As it's get the same performance as smoking (placing in mouth) and as it last longer than a cigarette and is sweeter it should calm down your cravings.
And if your worried something like having to pop in the dentists just draw from yourself some sugar free ones. I believe ChupaChumps do them now.

I have a sigmoidoscopy last month. I remember the laxatives be very strong, but at duplicate time the diorrheoa wasn't painful. I wasn't sedated and if I be given the option I would of chosen to be sedated because I found it difficult to relax during the prodedure. The most unpleasant cog of the experience was the intuition of intense trapped wind from where on earth they inflated me; but the nurse was really supportive and held my foot whilst helping me to breath deeply. There be a bit of embarrassment, especially as the procedure is rather messy but the staff put me at ease (they literally see it adjectives day, everyday). I in recent times reminded myself that it was going to be over soon! Goodluckxx

Both, to me, they are both invasive.
In a colonoscopy, you have to pilfer pills or drink a fluid prior to the procedure. It is nasty stuff and you will be on the pot for hours. But, the procedure is glib; you'll be asleep. In an endoscopy, you cannot eat for 12 hrs prior to the procedure and, again, you will be asleep. You will not recall having any done.
My partner used to have one every year, but immediately every two years.
I go to hospital and continue for him to come out of the op theatre, next take him home to bed.

I've have colonoscopy's and really the worst part of it is drinking the medical fluids they provide you to clean out your system the morning before. Stay close to a toilet. I've also have an EGD, where they put a camera through your throat to see your stomach, and that wasn't that impossible either. You're knock out through the whole procedure although I've hear of people still one conscious. Definitely share all of your concerns and worries near your doctor. Worrying about it is the worst member.
