Adults who hold have their tonsils removed surgically..?
I am 22 years old. My doctor suggested that i hold my tonsils removed due to constant infection. I am worried about the surgery...because race say that adults obverse a more difficult time recovering from the surgery than children.Can you please share your after surgery recovery experience please???

I haven't had, but my friend did when she be in her mid-20's. If memory serves me right, she be only down for around 2-3 days and she was someone that other was sick beside some kind of throat infection & that have completely gone away. I think its worth it.

i say do it. not solitary will it cut down on infection but when your lover asks you to deep-throat him it should be easier than before.
I have my tonsils out when I was 22. I am 36 very soon, but from what I remember, my throat was really sore the first morning.
You have to get through alot of smooth stuff the first couple days until it heals, approaching ice cream, popsicles, yogurt. They also give me tylenol for pain which really wasn't much after that first light of day. I was intake chinese food by the third day. I have no lasting side effects. Everything heal normally.

My elder sister had hers done 2 years ago (almost 40). All adults obverse a more difficult time recovering from any surgery than do children. She also had problems near infection, as well as sleep apnea. She have this done at the same time as they repaired a deviated septum. The first couple of days be not pleasant, but pretty tolerable. She was fund to gardening before the terminate of the week. She sleeps way better and have had no infections since.
My other sister is the with the sole purpose remaining sibling (6 of us) who still has her tonsils. Never have a problem after childhood although she has indistinguishable large tonsils as the rest of us.
in good health, it hurt like hell for 2 days, since my tonsils be attached to the bottom part of my tongue, and it did hurt greatly there, but contained by the end it be really worth it. Now i can get myself drizzly, walk barefoot and not protection about self sick again.
You could compare post-operatory pain to a doomed to failure tonsil infection's pain, next to the difference that it is going to be the last time it hurts.

I'm not going to tale to you, it's painful, but supportable. Make sure for the first days afterwards that you are in the thinking of someone who can keep track of your spasm medication administration. I be 23 when I had mine out and I moved home for a week so my mom could save on top of my affliction medicine. Yes it is harder for adults, but you will be so glad you did it afterwards!!! I go from having chronic sore throats, strep, mono, scarlet frenzy, etc to never having a sore throat again! It's plainly something you should do. The worst part of it be when I got too much discomfort meds in my system. I'm a small being, so I kind of get overloaded about morning 3 after surgery and couldn't keep anything down, but after that I be fine. Just make sure you munch through lots of pudding, jello and broth and keep hydrated. Also acquire a little chalk board or dry erase board to write on to hang on to from talking.

Okay, not to scare you, because if you involve a surgical procedure that your doctor recommends, you should certainly go through beside it. At 20, my tonsils had gotten so big they be touching & my ENT insisted I get them out, so I am glad I go through with it, although salvage was anything but pleasant.
About a week after surgery I be eating some soup & at a rate of knots realized blood be coming out of my mouth quite hurriedly. I went to the emergency room where on earth after hours of bleeding, my throat eventually clotted (which is gross & feels gross). I be advised to try not to dislodge the clot contained by my throat or it will bleed again, but to try and let it restore to health. About an hour after being home, the clot broke & I started bleeding excessively again. I have to go to the ER again, I begin vomiting blood and was have spells of loss of hearing and delusion and cold sweats from losing so much blood. They sent me home again & advised to me to budge to a more advanced hospital if the clot broke again. Of course, the clot broke again so I went to the better hospital. Eventually they cortorized my throat. I spent the subsequent 2 days told not to speak, not to move, not to shower & to sleep sitting up in hopes of not rupturing again. After those 2 days, I be 100% fine and 5 years later own not had an ounce of trouble and of not at adjectives regret having the surgery!!
This is a much more difficult procedure for adults but I would in recent times recommend maybe taking longer to relax and embezzle longer before intake solids foods than recommended. You may be fine, this was in recent times my body & my experience, everyone is different. I dont know if anyone else has have this experience, or I may just be a unusual case (wouldnt be the first time haha) I would never suggest you not jump through the surgery (especially if your doctor recommends it)!! I was told equal thing by my doctor when I be 19. ( I am 22 now) I was TERRIFIED. I have them out and the experience was far worse than I have imagined. They had to literally serving spoon out my tonsils and cauterize the incision, which at first wasn't so bad. But the throbbing was so doomed to failure a few days later that I couldn't even sip wet, so I ended up contained by the ER that night. The subsequent day the I started throwing up bright red blood, so hindmost to the ER I went, (I wouldn't hold gone back so soon but I be literally throwing up blood for two hours and it wouldn't stop.) So I get nearby and they give me a vitamin K shot contained by my butt to help the blood clot. It turns out the incision scab fell rotten and the area wouldn't clot on it's own. About ten minutes after the shot I finally stopped bleeding. They looked at it and almost cauterized it again, but appreciatively they didn't. In the end it took me a month to treat, two months to get my voice backbone all the opening, and I ended up losing twenty pounds contained by the whole process, because it hurt opening to much to eat. When I hold children and they need in that tonsils out, I will make them do it youthful. The whole experience be horrible, and it put me into debt for a while, going to the ER is expensive!

i have my tonsils removed when i was around 18 years dated, because it was constantly infected and as a result i other had sore throats and sinus infection.
the operation itself sucked, because i be not sadated... i got give or take a few 3 lidocaine injections to each side and after the doc put a spatula in my mouth (to press my tongue down), which made me perceive sick... (yep, all the means of access;). apart of this inconvenience the procedure was ok, i did not touch any pain or whatsoever... but when the lidocaine's effect be gone, it started to hurt like hell, could not uncap my mouth for 3 days (guess my family be happy, i did not do my regular jibber-jabber)...and i could just about eat even the subsequent week or so.
still, i did not regret that i had the op, because my sinuses are allright presently, i barely achieve colds and all those disagreeable throath aches.

Almost any problem in the mouth, from dental deterioration to ulcers to tonsillitis can increase the amount of saliva produced. Another big stimulus to saliva production is our brains. We with the sole purpose have to ruminate about or smell food to gain the juices flowing. Other psychological factor which affect our brain, from anxiety to excitement, can alter the flow of saliva.
Excessive saliva not necessarily a problem
However, increased saliva production is usually temporary and once in a while causes difficulties. We engender and swallow up to two litres of saliva every day, but almost not notice its ratification! Making more saliva doesn't make much difference unless nearby are problems swallowing it.
If you can't swallow saliva very well, because of a sore throat or mechanical problems, such as within cerebral palsy or Parkinson's disease, you ending up drooling. This is embarrassing, messy and can trademark the skin around your lips and mouth sore because it contains the digestive enzyme amylase.
But I suspect that you hold a different problem. I searched on some websites from my arts school and found that Xanax is approved for use in hysterics disorders and anxiety disorders, but not for use in patients beneath the age of 18 per the FDA. I searched for any studies that be conducted in adolescents using Xanax, and didn't find any. Sorry to be of no relieve! U may consider swtiching to anti-depressants, such as Paxil or Prozac, which are approved for and commonly used in adolescents.

Please, I am looking for someone, anyone who might understand my situation. I am 27 and still living at home because my mother is diabetic. I would similar to to move out but I'm scared.My mother habitually isn't careful adequate with her condition, and will do too much hum, not eat ample, or take too much insulin. She refuse to believe that there is a serious problem that she desires help beside. Last night I needed the police to restrain her so the EMTs could administer glucose. This be SO SCARY. I was afraid she would hurt herself or try to hurt me.

I think you obligation to be strong or you could be at home for a very long time.

I feel for you! Thats heart-rending. You want to take safekeeping of your mama but want to have a time of your own. I know of a similiar case where on earth a mand and women were living together..she stayed vitally for the same reason. Until one day she couldn't do it anymore. She gone and because this man had such a history of not taking diligence of himself..he was forced to move into a nursing home so that someone could receive sure his diabetes was lower than control. It's a coin toss. But if she's younger..maybe something resembling that will waken her up to see she has to do it on her own if not.

Tell her that you love her and that you want to help but she have to be willing to support herself first. I think that you should be healthy also. I be aware of for you, my mother is a diabetic and although she does take attention of herself I still have to live close by so I can drive her everywhere and steal care of alot of stuff for her and my 87 yr. behind the times Grandma. They are both widows and I am the only personality around to do all the things they stipulation done. So I know all roughly feeling obligated to appropriate care of someone. It get to feeling similar to your in a prison sometimes, but I perceive I have to study out for them. Intentional self-harm (suicide);
Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis;

heart disease. cancer is number two, and in some states where on earth heart disease is being treated totally well, cancer is number one.

Take a vehicle for example, If the car's engine give out it will no longer work. If our heart stops we will no longer live. We expired it's a natural subdivision of life.
