Answers:    When you go to college, you must contend a major for your undergraduate years. It can be anything, really but consider this: All programs have a schedule of prerequisite courses that you are required to take before applying to the graduate PT program. This usually involves like mad of science, math and psychology. So most students pick a major that encompasses those classes. As you close completion of your junior year in college, you should have a perfect idea as to which graduate school you want to attend and cause sure you've completed their requirements. Whether you actually have to finish your BS prior to PT institution varies between schools. You will probably own to take the GRE. You will also most likely entail to get letters of guidance, complete volunteer hours and may or may not have to submit a writing sample and/or sit for an interview. Once you label it into the professional phase of the program, it is usually an additional three years of school. All programs surrounded by the US now result in any a doctorate (DPT) or master's degree. After graduation, you will sit for a licensure exam and apply for licensure in the state you need to practice.

In all, the process takes just about 6-7 years of education.

Good luck.
