at first she had pneumonia. Then she got fluid surrounded by her lungs, the doctor mentioned a pleural effusion. they drained it out and gave her antibiotics. Then she got anemic, and get a few transfusions. and then she had trouble breathing. She get an oxygen mask and everything but soon died. I wasn't there and my mother described it to me. SHe be in her early 70s and be in Somalia at the time. We are trying to figure out what she finally died from..please dispense us ur opinion if you have a clue!

Answers:    The condition of have pneumonia causes fluid build up in the lungs. This cause the reduction of the ability of the blood to pass oxygen to the body, as well as reduce the capability of the lungs to expand and fill with nouns properly (making it hard to breathe).

The fact that your grandmother developed anemia and the auxiliary oxygen didn't really seem to help may own been simply due to the fact that her system be already compromised by age and any pre-existing or previous illnesses she may have had.

Add adjectives of these factors together and your grandmother's system probably just couldn't fiddle with all the stress of her illness and her systems a short time ago failed, unfortunately.

Just a guess, but she probably died from respiratory anticlimax because of the initial pneumonia she contracted.

This sounds similar to what my grandma had minus the pneumonia..she started bleeding internally which cause her to pass away. I just read a couple days ago the Respiratory Illnesses are one of the top 3 -or 4 cause of death in US. Eldery and those near a weak immune system..

Sounds like she died from respiratory arrest. A stroke, that is to say the biggest cause of death. The pneumonia put abundantly of stress on her body and she never recovered..
