I am going to procure an MRI on my fund today, but the inflamation is have an stale light of day (Thank God)?
Answers: Yes ... they will still be able to tell. It sounds as though you may hold a herniated disc (I do as well). The MRI shows a three dimensional picture. Although the inflammation is somewhat subdued, it is still there. I suffered from back affliction so severely, I could not stand for more than a few seconds at a time.
I finally convinced my doctor to prescribe an anti-inflammatory called Neurontin. This drug take about three days to start working. It has be a lifesaver for me. My herniated disc was putting constant pressure on my sciatic nerve. The twinge never stopped. My right leg was so sore, I could hardly stand to touch it.
You should also ask your doctor something like an epidural injection. A particular type of steriod is injected into the area of your spine where on earth the pain originates. These shots are usually given contained by a series of three; one every six weeks. Many times, this will solve the problem. If this does not work, you may have to have surgery to repair the dog-eared area. A titanium pin is inserted after the discs are separated to hold them in place.
I am to receive my first epidural surrounded by about two weeks. Good luck. I truly know how you feel. Keep us advise as to your progress. Sincerely..
Isn't that the way it always is? Even if the inflammation is not bothering you it is probably still inflamed or the wreak of it is still visable, If it is something that can be identified by an MRI it should still be able to be seen. Good Luck There is still inflamation, even if it is not marked to the human eye. The MRI will pick it up though and the doctor will be able to tell what is wrong..
Yes, the doctor will know how to pinpoint the area that is inflammed. Yes, the MRI will find the problem. My dics ollapsed and I be like you some days good most fruitless. Good LUck
