How much money do hospitals take home?

I think a lot of citizens are very concerned about how much strength care insurance costs and feel bitter in the order of how much doctors make. But what I want to know is exactly how much to hospitals make? How do they set their prices? Isn't it because of them that some ethnic group can't afford certain procedures or treatments? I think we should adjectives keep in mind that hospitals are in actuality BUSINESSES?!?!?! Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just curious so please refrain from political/socioeconomic ramblings!

Answers:    It depends. The hospital business is certainly very difficult. Competition for paying customers (ie those with insurance) is incredibly intense. And hospitals are required to provide emergency thought to those who can't pay. That said, a busy hospital with a right reputation in an area beside patients that are mostly insured can make A LOT of money. But a lot of hospitals budge under, because that above combination is hard to find. They don't net anything compared to what insurance companies make, and some hospitals are non-profit, which means adjectives that revenue just gets put put money on into making the hospital better and getting new state-of-the-art equipment. Your comment about mortal bitter about what doctors make is so disheartening- if you know abundant docs personally i doubt that you would feel that passageway. They are about the only profession that have had their salaries cut surrounded by half over the last 20 years, and enjoy essentially no way to get raise or make more money, in contrast to every other profession. They are also required by both directive and morality to be accessible almost all the time. Docs start out their careers hundreds of thousands of dollars surrounded by debt, and don't even get to start making any money until they are done with their training within their mid 30's. Just ask the husband or wife of a doc if they think they are well compensated! They variety a decent salary, but not when compared to the sacrifice they make..
They charge a lot, beyond a shadow of a doubt about that. But, considering the overhead, they have to.

Building repairs, lighting, heating, some doctors to pay, nurses salary, janitorial staff, admin staff, supplies, laundry, phone charges, computer equipment, internet costs, diagnostic equipment and supplies.

On a monthly basis the costs are HUGE..
hospitals are businesses and they make great margins.

they do so because they shortage competition and are very well manage..
No you're right...I went to the hospital this one time because i was have stomach pains...and they took a blood and urine sample and my bill was very well over 600 bucks.Seriously like what the hell. They make so much money rotten someone getting hurt THey suck the $$ from the hurt and sick.

I haven't been to one yet that isn't currently undergo some expensive alteration...

They do very well.
