How does one diagnose a hip/pelvis misalignment?

How does one diagnose a hip/pelvis misalignment? I'm concerned I have one following an incident at the gym, it is almost three weeks later and I own an odd feeling contained by my left knee. I know that knees pain is a symtom of hip/pelvis misalignment, but from looking at my feet sticking straight out, I can't spot a difference in length. How do I tell, or how would a professional inform?

Answers:    A chiropractor can tell - usually without any test or xrays...as I had one without really knowing.. but have various pain issues that kept coming up minus real 'reasons' - once adjusted a few times I be much much better...so that's my suggestion - good luck!.
I suggest you see a trained, certified physical therapist. I be half an inch off and grain so much better now. Your pelvis could be tilted. The legs have to be measured, as a difference of even partly an inch is significant. Professionals use calipers, measuring tapes and underlying knowledge of anatomy.
