HELP! enjoy a evil migraine but I'm also throwing up wet...what to do?
Answers: First piece, stay calm. I know the blackouts and dizziness and shaking can be really scary, but simply keep thinking it will be over soon and don't panic.
This used to ensue to my mum, fortunately I don't usually throw up with migraines. When hers got this impossible (3 days is quite a bad one, poor thing) she go to the doctors and got a sedative/painkiller injection. It would make her sleep (I'm guessing the stomach-ache is keeping you awake?) and when she woke up it was usually gone or at least better to the point where on earth she could eat and drink. Definately try to get a black cab to the doctors just incase something other than a generic migraine is cause this. Don't walk there, discouraging idea, and don't drive yourself. If you have stairs, receive the cab driver or a neighbour to help you down. I've fall because of blackouts/dizziness and it makes it worse. Try to get someone to turn with you, friend or neighbour, especially if you get confidently disoriented with migraines. Take a hot/cold pack with you and put it where it helps.
Try sucking a sugary lolly (candy?) then taking little sips of river, stay sitting up so gravity works in your favour. Try to do this when it doesn't grain quite so bad. Also, try have a shower. Sit down in the shower, make it hot or cold (you'll know which one you want when you get in), wash your mane and things if you can but its ok if you can't. Hopefully this will take the edge of the twinge for a little while.
Once your stomach is coming ok again, avoid acidic things resembling orange juice until you're idea good again.
Hope you feel better soon :(.
You want to go to hospital if this has be going on so long. Since you say you cant eat or drink anything, after 3 days you're plausible to be dehydrated which will a) make the headache worse and b) wreak further complications and can make you very sick. A 3 time migrane is very unusual, im concerned it's something else such as viral meningitis.
Dont walk if you cant stand up, bid a taxi and get checked out and treated properly..
I do reason you can get an injection in the doctors for the twinge but what I would do is sleep, sleep & Sleep. There are also some strong codeine based painkillers out there that can verbs the pain while you try to sleep. If it's not gone by tomorrow I would be seeking medical advice if I be you. Don't worry about drinking, just sleep! Can you ask a friend or family contributor for some help? Hi, I think the best entry for you to do is to try to relax and to take a nap. That's the just thing that helps me when I can't hang on to a migraine pill down. Perhaps some meditation or learned breathing exercises could help you contained by the future.
:).
I dont think it would hurt for you to run to your doctor just to check out whats wrong with you, sounds resembling you might have a nasty flu or something. (I have similar symptoms to you once and my doctor said it was a flu). If you dont think you can take home it to the doctors maybe you could ask a friend, neighbour or someone to take you down here since your parents are away. I hope you feel better soon but you definitely call for to see someone about it.
xx
