Hello! I used Accutane for 5 months (used 60mg) and about two weeks ago (four months after my treatment ended), acne has started to appear again. I used to enjoy a lot of acne on the chest and back, but within is no acne there (it is clear). The only areas where on earth acne has developed are in the arms and the facade (cheeks). It's so frustrating because I had a flawless skin, now I don't know what to do. Before, I used Pro-activ for 7 years and it help me control it. I don't know if I should start using it before I take Accutane again (in two months). Has acne re-appeared to you once the treatment completed??

Answers:    I used accutane for severe acne on my face, It was mostly on my cheeks. Its be over 10 years since I finished my treatment and no more severe acne.

I occasionally get a pimple here and there but nought like before.
accutane is recurrently prescribed when other drugs like "-cyclines" dosent work so doubt that will work for you, although talk to your doctor.

I would wage attention to what your eating also the products that you may use to wash your frontage. use a gentle face dust to clean areas where acne appears. Also "Seabreeze"(for sensitive skin) astringent have helped me to prevent pimples from surfacing. Pro-activ seems a bit approaching placebo.

I dont get why people rip on Accutane, it changed my life span for the better. Accutane allowed me to be confident and secure.
accutane made me happy by getting rid of these pimples how some obtain depressed i will never know. side effects are manageable and are a small price to pay for clear complection. when i have acne my life was miserable and have no social life.

If you don't want to try the Accutane again, here is a class of antibiotics - tetracycline's - that can also be used to treat acne. (I had horrible effects with Accutane and I wouldn't clutch it again for anything.).
