Endoscopy unbelievably anxious ...?
i think before i can be treated for another type carbuncle i need to have the endoscopy,camera down the throat and i enjoy read nothing but horror stories and other folks who have have a terrible time of having it done.
please relief i cant sleep now for fear of cancer and of the endoscopy.
Answers: At lowest you are doing something about it, and it will put your mind at ease and you will grain so much better once its done, so try to stop worrying for now. It's not that bad (a friend have it done), you get sedated so you really wont feel anything. I have to take my friend when she had it done and similar to you she was really worried, but she said it wasn't half as unpromising as she thought it would be and it was a great relief once it be done. You'll be fine - trust me. Good luck..
the endoscopy is really not that bad. They normally will put you beneath general anesthesia for that or they may just mildly dull you and use a lidocaine spray to numb the area. i dont think it sounds approaching cancer. It sounds more like some type of stomach disorder perhaps sour reflux or ibd which for both you can be prescribed medicine. i wouldn't worry too much roughly it...i've seen a ton of these done and no patient have ever said it was horrible. Don't worry give or take a few...good luck! I had an endoscopy and a sygmoidoscopy (like colonoscopy) done at duplicate time. I remember laying on the table and nurse saying you'll spill out asleep in a few minutes. that's the last piece i remember. My throat was a little sore for a couple days, but that's it. They a short time ago said I had acid reflux. Don't verbs about it. Even if it is something bad, it can be fixed and worrying won't oblige. Good luck..
i had a camera down my throat 4 weeks ago,i was extraordinarily nervous about it ,i be in and out of the hospital within a few minutes.it be not too bad at all..hope this help you a little,and good look beside everything...by the way i just have the spray to numb the throat.. i kno how u feel i had to enjoy an endoscope up my bum cos i had stomack pains all the time!i be very scared thinking i could hold somthing bad i freaked out about it for weeks b4 the endocope!but it be ok and it put my mind at rest only intill u have urs done will it put ur mind at rest!.
AS LONG AS YOU RELAX AND SWALLOW WHEN THEY TELL YOU TO YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM and pls pray, it really help. :).
My Mum( shes 74) had one a few weeks ago and she was approaching you, absolutely terrified, if reality she was making herself ill beside worrying. She said that they gave her an injection to make her get the impression drowsy and basically not care, and numbed her throat, she said she even watch it all on the monitor??, this is Mrs Squeamish??!, but she also said that it wasnt as bad as she thought because citizens had told her horror stories too., she also said that she was glad she have had it done as her mind was put to rest, her doc made her progress for it because a blood test showed up anaemia which meant she could hold cancer, ulcers, internal bleeding etc, but nothing at adjectives showed up, they tell you there and next. I really dont think youve got cancer as a relative of mine have stomach cancer, it could be acid reflux, or even a hiatus hernia, my Dad has this and your symptoms nouns very similar. Try not to worry too much as worrying could put together your symptoms worse, its like a vicious circle. I'm going in for one tomorrow and I too am startled! I keep reading where it's not bleak but I'm such a chicken.
It's the fear of the unknown! Not knowing what to expect.. ugh!
You know what though, my only fears from it are.. I don't want to be awake when they stick a tube down my throat. I would so much to some extent be sleeping, so my worry is that they won't give me adequate sedative to knock me out. They aren't trying to knock me out but I want to be! lol
And my other worry is I don't know what to expect from a numb throat.. can you choke on spit if your throat is numb!?
Obviously they are both dumb worries but can't assistance it. I know I will be fine and I know that you will be fine! This is such a common procedure.
I haven't found any horror stories about it, I own only found where ethnic group said they have it done alot and it's no big deal.
They channel I see it, I have had 3 kids, this is cake!

I of late got home from having it done and it is nil! I worried myself sick for absolutely nothing! It is so smooth.
I promise that it isn't bad at all. You will be okay.
They rob you in, get you into a gown and you lay surrounded by bed. They check vitals and start the IV.
Then they come take you back into the room and depending on the doc i guess, they will numb your throat next to spray. At the same time they did that, they gave me the virtuous stuff through IV.
Then they put the thing in my mouth to maintain it open, I remember talking to them and I remember audible range them talk but other than that it's adjectives easy and you won't remember much.
Then you go wager on to the other room and you wake up, the quicker you wake up the quicker you acquire to leave. I had my discharge adjectives done before the doctor came to sermon to me. Then I left!
